The next morning, I woke up to a text from Ethan. "Goodmorning. Can't wait to see you today."
I've only been talking to him for a day, and already he's making me extremely happy. No one has ever made me feel like this before. It was all very new, and I loved it. Hopefully this feeling lasted a while.
"Goodmorning. I can't wait to see you either. I'm excited for my surprise later." I responded with a smirk on my face.
I decided to look nice for school today. He told me he couldn't wait to see me, so obviously I had to look good. I didn't want to make him regret saying that or anything.
I straightened my hair for the first time in a while. I was getting used to the natural look, but today I wanted to look perfect. After an hour, my hair was perfectly straight, and looked great.
I then did my make-up. I don't often wear too much, and today was the same way. Just took a little longer to make sure everything looked the way I wanted it to.
I slipped on jeans, and a nice top to go with the rest of my look. I figured a dress would be too much, and I definitely didn't want to look like I was trying too hard.
Right before I left the house, I took one last look in the mirror. I hated having to get up even earlier than normal, but I was glad I did. I looked really nice for once in my life. Having someone to look good for was the best kind of motivation.
The bus ride to school felt like forever, even though it was only a ten minute drive. I just couldn't wait for this day to start. Not only did I want to see him, I also wanted my surprise. I had been thinking about it all night, and still can't figure out what he's going to do.
I walked into school, and immediately went to find Sabrina and Haylie. When I eventually found them, I couldn't keep my excitement in.
"Guys you're not going to believe this. Like we talked all day, and part of the night. I didn't want to go to sleep I was having such a good time talking to him. We texted for a while, then facetimed, and then texted some more until I fell asleep with my phone in my hands." I said to them without breathing in between.
"Wow it sounds like your night was fun. Hopefully this continues because I love seeing you this happy." Haylie says.
"Do I really seem that much happier?" I ask.
"Of course you do Alison! You can't stop smiling, and you're constantly checking your phone to see if he's texted you back yet. Don't worry though girl, this is a good thing." Sabrina laughs.
"Well good. It's great to know some of my friends are okay with all this." I say to them.
"How could we not be okay with this? From what I know he's a great guy, and he makes you so happy. Have fun girl, and don't worry about what the other girls say. They're probably just jealous of the fact that you have someone to talk to that makes you feel so amazing, and they don't." Haylie says.
"You guys are amazing. I love you." I say wrapping my arms around both of them.
"We want more details though. Start talking girl!" Sabrina exclaims.
"Well he told me that he felt bad about not saying thanks for the paper yesterday, so he was going to make it up to me today with a surprise." I say smiling once again.
"What?!" They both say at the same time.
"I know right. I've been trying to figure out what it could be, and I literally have no idea." I laugh.
"Maybe he's bringing you food." Haylie says.
"Oh that's a good thought. Pray it's food." Sabrina says.
