I stood in the bathroom still looking at the granite floor. Pansy had started to fuss about a lion in her sleep who knows what she was dreaming about but she was awfully loud about it. Granger. Why did it always come down to someone I loath? I felt confused. She wasn't ugly, she was intelligent. The way she--'Stop. What are you doing Draco? She's a Mud-- No you changed. Stop acting like your father Draco get over it.' Putting on my boxers and some pajama pants I stepped out of the bathroom.
I went to my dresser drawer and fingered a hole in the bottom of the second drawer. It opened up to reveal a secret compartment. He kept his muggle things hidden here, some sunglasses, a regular camera for what he learned was for pictures that didn't move. He also had some knickknacks and his most used item, a box of cigarettes. He knew it was a nasty habit but he picked it up with Blaise one day when they went to muggle London for a boys get away 2 years ago. He took out his pack and went out to the terrace and sat down on his couch and lit one up.
He inhaled the arid smoke and let the memories drift off without another thought. He was trying his best not to bring back memories of the war but he always thought about it when he was smoking. As he inhaled again he noticed something in the distance and at first thought nothing of it, but as it came closer he payed more attention to it. He released a breath he didn't realize was held in, it was an owl. "Well, well, well aren't you a pretty little thing." It hooted and looked at him, he noticed the owl held no visible letter. "Where did you come from? Did you bring anything for me?" He asked the chocolate colored bird.
The owl was still gazing at him intensely and Draco was starting to feel uncomfortable. Then it turned its head around and round as if searching for something or someone. "We are alone." Draco stated. He felt silly, the bird was probably just turning its head because that was what they regularly did, but he felt as if it was more. Once the bird had secured the area itself, she hooted and nuzzled into him. Draco immediately put his hand near her head to pet her and thats when it happened.

After the whole crying in the bathroom fiasco, Hermione powdered her nose and decided to blow it all away. Her feelings and everything she hated about what had just occurred and act normal. Walking back downstairs she heard when Ginny threw a hex at someone and heard Molly scold her. 'Just like old times.' "Hermione! you've been gone for ages!" Exclaimed Ginny. Hermione noticed two new faces at the table. "Hello Arthur, Harry, it's nice to see you both again." She blatantly ignored her girlfriend and address her father-in-law and friend. "Yes, well, you know what the muggles say, 'The busier the bees, he hungrier the flowers.' Am I right?" She just chuckled at her muggle enthusiast in law who most always hasn't got a clue what he saying.
Harry and Hermione shared a knowing glance. "I do say, the minister has this psh-posh way of doing things these days, makes it a wee bit hard on us Aurors. How goes it at the ministry these days Arthur?" Harry said exhaustedly. "Well Harry I'm glad you asked-" Molly threw her fists in the air. "Now, now, dears eat now dilly dally later. Reckon the foods goin' to go to waste, on you go!" Molly stopped the business talk and urged everyone to eat. She missed this, missed the way things were. From the seat next to her she could feel Ron's heat radiate from his body it made her heart ache for a moment before it was gone. After dinner they retired to the living room for some Firewiskey and Butterbeers. "Oi, you're a fowl right git George!" Ron shouted at his brother when he sat down on the latest Weasley invention.
Apparently it was something you sit on. As George explained, "The person who sits on it will never know until they stand up. You see it pulls you back down and doesn't let go until you reveal your darkest secret to the person to whom it belongs to, or until the person decides to let you go." He looked at his brother. "Well, I would be nicer to the one who has your only ticket out of here mate. You never know when you'll be having to spill your secrets to the world." They all laughed except Ron who didn't take quite nicely to his brothers' jokes. "Would you just let me go already. I'm tired besides Hermione and me have an early day tomorrow, and I don't fancy you lot knowin' my secrets anyway." He eyed Hermione.
This shocked Hermione, she thought she knew all his secrets. Why was he being so defensive? "So is that right Ron? We ain't good enough to hear you're secrets ay? Well I say bullocks." teased Harry obviously ignoring his friends hateful glare. "Will you just cut it out George!" Ron exploded. "Bloody hell Ron, you act as if you murdered someone and don't want us to know!" Chuckled George. "Just let him go." Hermione sighed, knowing fully well Ron was about to break his cool. "Wait, you don't want to know?" Questioned Ginny eye brows waggling. "My guess is that he sleeps with his thumb in his mouth and still wees the bed." Everyone laugh again except Hermione and Ron.
"Cut it out, we both have an early day. Please." She smiled at George and he looked back at Ron, "Fine!" As he muttered something Ron was let go. "Come on Hermione. Sabrina. We best be off now." He nodded towards his parents and glared at his siblings and walked out the door without a seconds glance. "Well, whats up his arse?" asked Harry. "He's just tired, we both are. I guess we will see you guys next time?" I sheepishly smiled. "Harry, I'll see you next week for our appointment? Ginny lets do something soon." Harry nodded and Ginny rolled her eyes "Duh, 'Mione! What d'you think I meant when I sent the owl." Hermione chuckled kissing her in laws and her best friends each on the cheek. She grabbed her daughters hand and walked outside. "Where's daddy?" Sabrina asked quietly, "I don't know love. He must be at home already." Looking down at my daughter I held her close and apperated home.
