Arriving home felt almost sad. Hermione looked around her quaint little house and sighed. "What's the matter mother?" Her daughter asked. "Oh, it's nothing to worry about I'm just tired. Why don't you go on up? Fay will fix you a bath, I'll be up soon to help." She smiled at her beautiful daughter and nudged her towards the staircase. Once she went up the stairs Hermione went in search of Ron. "Ronald, are you here?" She checked the kitchen, the parlor, their bedroom, nothing. He wasn't here. "Mistress is looking for Master?" Came the voice of her house elf. "Yes, is he here?" The elf shook her head. "Fay is afraid not Mistress."
She bowed her head and asked, "Is there anything Fay can get for Mistress, and Little Lady?" Hermione was worried. "Would you mind starting a bath for Sabrina? I'll be in shortly to help her." Fay just smiled and snapped her fingers, just like that she heard the bathroom rush with water noise and the elf was gone. "Mother?" Sabrina called out. "Right." Hermione walked towards the bathroom silently. 'Could Georges' joke have caused him to not want to come home? Why? What is he hiding?' Hermione thought about it while bathing her daughter and putting her to bed. She thought about it and kept at it all through out the early hours of the morning until she finally dozed off.
The sun still was low in the horizon, colorful scenery was displayed on the early morning sky. With a jolt Hermione sat up quickly, looking around she noticed the light and realized she had over slept. She was currently going to be late for her first appointment of the day if she wasn't out the door in the next five minutes. Rushing to get ready not knowing that she was being watched from the dark corner of her room. Turning around she nearly shouted. "Ronald Bilius Weasley! You nearly gave me a heart attack. What are you doing?!" Walking over to him and lightly slapped his arm.
"I'm sorry love, it's wasn't my intention, honestly you'd think you were mental the way you shrieked." He sniggered at her, causing Hermione to blush a deep crimson. "Where have you been?" Folding her arms across her chest waiting for a response. "I went for a walk. When I got home you both were asleep." He nodded to the bed, Hermione just realized her daughter had slipped into her room right next to her in her fathers place. "Have you been asleep on the couch this whole time?" She stared at Ron. "I got back pretty late lost track of time, but when I got home I found the two of you asleep, you both looked peaceful and tired, I just couldn't bring myself to wake her."
"Ron, you should have woken me up. I was so worried about you!" Was all she could reply. "I know and I'm sorry 'Mione, but it was late you needed the sleep." He didn't look her directly in the eyes. "Can I ask you something?" She looked at him waiting for a response. "Okay?" His brows furrowed. "Did what happen at the Burrow last n-night, well I guess what I'm saying is, is there something I, don't k-know about going on?" She stuttered her question out. Ron looked up at her meeting her eyes and quickly looking away. "What d'you mean?" he responded a little stupidly. "I don't know Ron. You just seemed a little defensive when that prank was pulled. Like there was something you didn't want anyone to know." She looked at her hands and continued. "Like you didn't want me to know." Silence. Hermione counted the seconds in her head. "No." Was all he answered and got up and walked to the bathroom.
"Hermione, if there was something I didn't want you to know, you can sure bet I wouldn't tell you." With that he shut the door and she was left there outside while he was shut inside.
--------------A couple of nights ago, a chocolate owl came to me. When it got near me it dropped this letter from Merlin knows where into my palm. The envelope was beautiful the letters written elegantly and the wax seal was a vibrant shade of red. It was addressed to a 'Mr. D.L. Malfoy' The contents of the letter were about a specific meet time for my therapy.
The letter said to pick a time and date for the next available spot in this head shrinkers schedule. I chose the earliest date available which coincidentally was today in about 3 hours. I felt nervous and anxious at the same time. "Good morning my love." Came a very drowsy Pansy she had been staying at the manor recently. "Quit it Parkinson." I shoved her away."Awe, Draky are you still a little stressed out, we can fix it right now if you want." She gave me her famous smirk and pulled herself out of the sheets and onto my lap.
"Get off. Go put some bloody clothes on you look like today was laundry day and nothing was clean." She looked at him incredulously. "You're not going to shag me again?" I looked at her disgusted. "I'm not in the mood Pansy, besides you need to leave, I'm going out today." Her face perked up."Out? Can I-" I put my hand in her face, "Alone." He cut her off. Pansy just pouted, "Fine." She got up and magically dressed and brushed her teeth. Turning to face her now clothed person he nodded his head towards her and said, "Thanks for the other night, lets not repeat it. Now get your shit and please leave." She just looked at him wide eyed mouth a little agape. She mumbled something about being a prime prick and walked off without so much as a goodbye.
Bitch. "Draco, darling. Was that just Pansy exiting your room?" Mother asked. "Yes it was Mother." She made a face. "I hope you used protection." Now my mouth was wide open. "Mother!" Looking at me she shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just saying what will others think if she gets pregnant before you both are wed?" She grimaced at the thought. I looked at her and sighed, "Do I really have to go through with it, can't I just live alone? Or at least find someone on my own?" She sighed looking away from him and quietly stated, "Breakfast will be in an hour, be ready," and walked away without as so much of a response back to his question.
Frustrated Draco slammed his door with a whip of his hand and laid back on his bed. 'Stupid father, you still torment my life even after you're death.' Draco looked outside and imagined what it would be like to be a regular person. To not have to worry about magic and status. To be free. After a moment he decided to get ready. He had a long day ahead of him, and to be honest, he was really looking forward to getting to that appointment, soon.
