"LILIA?!"
Dean shouted across the bunker as he set his bags down on the floor.
He hadn't heard from her the entire weekend, and he figured that she was giving him the cold shoulder from the fight they had before he left.
"Lily?!"
Dean called out for her as he walked towards their room.
He got to their door and knocked gently.
"Babe?"
He asked, pushing open the door.
The lights were off, and everything was silent.
He flicked on the lights and listened to the hum of the bunkers system as it warmed up.
She wasn't there.
He walked across the room and checked in the restroom.
She wasn't there either.
He felt his palms begin to sweat, and his face and chest got hot with worry.
He ran over to the closet and opened it.
It was barren on her side.
Everything was gone, except for a small piece of paper that was folded in half.
Dean kneeled down on the floor with tears behind his eyes as he shakily reached for the note.
"Dear Dean,
You are, and will always be, the love of my life.
Me leaving doesn't mean that I don't love you.
It means that I'm human, and I couldn't stay after hearing what you really think of me.
I let you down, and for that I'm sorry.
I guess I wasn't enough for you anymore.
You wanted me gone, so I'm gone.
Don't look for me, because you won't find me.
Goodbye, Dean Winchester.
I wish you and Sam the best. I really do.
-Lilia."
It felt like he was pierced by a bullet.
She hoped it wouldn't hurt him, since she loved him, and yet she hoped it did.
He ripped away everything that made her who she was, and that she could never forgive.
No matter how much she loved him.
Dean clutched the paper to his chest and cried.
He wanted to turn back time, and make her stay.
He hadn't realized that she was what kept him wanting to breathe.
That's why he had to keep her from hunting, because she was his life support, and without her, he was lost.
"SAMMY?!"
He screamed out as he stood up.
Sam ran to his brother's rescue, expecting him to be covered in his own blood.
"Dean?! What the hell is wrong with you?"
"She's gone, Sam."
Sam eased when he saw his brother's bloodshot eyes.
It was purely panic that stirred him.
"What the hell happened?"
Dean wiped tears from his face.
"I said some really awful, awful things, Sam."
He grabbed Sam's hands and put the crushed note in his hands for him to read.
"All her things are gone. This is all she left."
Dean tried to regulate his breathing while Sam inspected the note, not able to believe what he was reading.
"I can't say I blame her, Dean. I-I mean...Letting you down? Not being enough?"
Sam ran a hand through his hair.
"What the hell did you say to her, man?"
He had to find her, but he didn't even know where to start with her.
She was always good at covering her tracks, but he had to find her.
He was going to find her.

(1 year later)
Lilia found a home among what she considered to be her family.
Claire Novak, a young woman who was over protected her entire life.
She was a strong, smart, and agile hunter.
With all of that sparkling assertiveness in her eyes, Claire made for a great hunting partner.
Unfortunately for Lilia, word got around about the unlikely pairing.
Stories about two girls, one young and the other not so much, that were a force to be reckoned with.
It didn't take long for this news to reach the Winchesters.
She learned from a close associate that they were headed her way and told Claire to pack everything because they were to disappear by dawn.
"You have your duffels?"
Lilia asked as she slung her bags into the backseat of a stolen truck.
Claire nodded and tossed them into the back before jumping into the passenger.
"Why are we in such a hurry anyway, Lils?"
Lilia got into the front seat and started the truck.
"Kid, I should have told you this earlier, but I've had something stuck to my shoe since the moment we met. That's why I move us around so much. My friend, Donna, just let me know they're on my tail. They've been chasing me for a year."
She yanked out of the motel parking lot and sped down the road.
"What?! Who the hell are these guys?!"
Lilia purses her lips.
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that, kid. It's for your safety, scouts honor."
That was a lie of course.
Claire knew the Winchesters and wouldn't understand the situation.
Claire scoffed and pouted as she always did.
"That's crap. I'm just as much of a hunter as you are, Lils. This is so not cool."
Claire turns her head to shun Lilia.
"Claire-"
"WATCH OUT!"
Claire screams as she sees a car swerve in front of them.
Lilia spins off into the shoulder and brakes hard.
The car comes to a stop, and she's fucking furious.
"Claire are you ok?!"
"Yeah...I'm okay."
"Good, stay here. I'm about to kill these motherfuckers."
Lilia grabs her shotgun from the backseat and flings open her door.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!"
She screams into the dark, not able to see the car that almost killed them.
Lilia sees a figure begin to emerge and points her gun at it.
"You better back the hell up, before I pump you so full of lead you'll be choking on it."
The figure found its way into the light of Lilia's headlights.
She saw his face and dropped her gun immediately.
"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"
She felt a lump form in her throat.
"Dean."
She muttered in awe.
"I've been hearing that you've been up to a lot these days. I can't say I'm not impressed. Do you know how hard it was to finally track you down?"
Lilia stayed silent as he slowly walked up to her.
"Lily, talk to me, ok? You don't have to be a baby about it-"
"You better stop right there, boy. I'm not playing this game again. Not ever again. Get back in that damn impala, and go."
Dean almost flinched.
He didn't think she would react this way.
It was then that he realized how badly he had underestimated her.
"Lilia. I just want to talk."
She took a step back.
"I disappeared for a reason, Dean-"
"LILIA!"
He shouted at her, making her flinch and raise her gun at him.
It broke his heart to see how much of a wall she had built against him.
She was putting a gun up to his chest, and didn't even think about it twice.
"Just...let me say what I have to say, and then you can choose to get back in your truck with the teenage girl, or you can come back to the bunker with me. It's up to you, but I at least deserve for you to hear me out, okay?"
She nodded and lowered her gun a smidge.
"When I read that note, I cried, and you know me. I don't cry. But, I fell to my knees and wept. I knew it was my fault. You leaving. This past year, Lilia, I never stopped looking for you. I couldn't. Sam begged me to, but I had to tell you that I was sorry..."
Tears burned their eyes, but they both fought hard against them.
"I'm so sorry. I lashed out at you and said things that I wouldn't say to my worst enemy. I was so angry and worried that you didn't listen when I told you no. But, you live and breathe hunting, and I see that now. I want you to understand that I feared for you. Everything that you loved doing was so...dangerous. And, at first, I thought I was ok with it...but I wasn't. Lily, I know that there isn't much that I can say to get you to forgive me, but I love you. I always will. No matter what you choose, I'll understand."
A tear rolled down his cheek that he quickly wiped away, trying to stay strong.
Lilia, on the other hand, had silent tears coming down her face that she couldn't keep away.
She drops her gun and looks away from him.
Teardrops slide down her stone face.
"...did you mean what you said? About me being deadweight? Useless?"
She let her face fall and cry fully.
"A part of me wants to believe that you didn't. But, I think I know better than-"
"Lilia. Of course, I didn't. If I could take back the things that I said, I would, in a heartbeat. But, I can't. This is how it has to be. You have to make a choice, Lily."
Lilia wiped her face and sniffled back tears.
She tried to look past a year of built resentment so that she could see what she really felt.
It was like it was there, what she wanted, but it was blurry, and scary.
"I wanna come back. I really do. But, you broke me, do you understand that? When you told me that...I lost a piece of myself, Dean. The one thing that I held onto after losing my family was that I had your faith in me, to finish what my parents started, but you never did...If I was to come back you have to promise me something, Dean."
His tearful eyes widened and he reached for her hand, dragging his finger against her thumb.
"Anything, Lily, honestly anything."
Tears filled her eyes again and her throat hurt from keeping in screams.
"You...you gotta stop holding me back."
He grabbed her their hand and held it to his chest.
"I promise. I'll never hold you back again."
A hot tear slid down her cheek, and she wiped it away quickly.
"...okay then. I'll go get my things."

(I'm in a hard spot right now. High school been a whole ass bitch. So, in favor of keeping my stories genuinely interesting and well written, I'm going to take a break. I need a break mentally and socially from everything and just focus on school and getting that coin. Happy September. I really do hope to see this book again.)
