Zelda's P.O.V.

I went down to breakfast on edge. No matter what I said, I do need Link. I mean I can obviously take of myself, but he makes me feel safe and gives me confidence. Plus it's nice to know that someone has your back and would do anything to protect you. That and he's my best friend, my only friend really.

I had gotten very little sleep last night. I couldn't stop worrying about Link. He was practically in a coma. I felt awful about what I told him. I felt awful that he could die and the last memory he had of us was us fighting. That the last thing I told him was I didn't need him.

"Are you okay, Zelda?" Ginny asked. "You're crying." I wiped my tears. I hadn't even noticed I was crying.

"I'm fine." I replied. She looked unconvinced.

"You're not fine. Tell me what happened." she demanded.

"Malfoy and his goons tried to beat Link to death last night." I whispered.

"He didn't!" Ron exclaimed. "That little git!"

"He did and he used some spell called 'Crucio' on him too." I said.

"That's one of the Unforgivable Curses. It's called the Cruciatious(?) (I'll check the spelling later) " Hermione said. "He should be expelled and thrown in Azkaban for that."

"The Minister won't let Dumbledore expel him." I said glumly.

"Well, don't tell Harry. He doesn't need another reason to get in trouble." she advised.

"I won't." I assured her.

I walked to my first class, History of Magic. Professor Binns doesn't notice anything, so I sat in the corner and cried softly the entire time. I wanted Link! He is my rock. Without him I feel exposed. He is the only person I can really talk to. He's always there for me.

I feel like a shitty friend, because I wasn't there when he needed me. If he hadn't been mad at me, then he wouldn't have been outside. Finally the bell rang and I dried me tears. I went to my next class, Defense Against the Dark Arts.

The toad assigned us a reading assignment. I wrote it down in Hylian for Link, so he doesn't get behind. Umbridge came over to me.

"What are you doing, dear?" she demanded sweetly.

"Writing it down helps me learn it better, madam." I lied. "I want to learn this super important theory the best I can for your exam and receive good marks in your class."

She seemed pleased with my answer and went back to her desk, but she watched me the entire time. As soon as the bell rang I took off for the hospital wing. It was lunch and I had a free period afterwards.

"Link!" I cried as I ran over to his bed.

He was still unconscious. I put my hand to his forehead. He was burning up. I dug out another red potion and poured it in his mouth. I started to stroke his hair.

"Please wake up, Link." I whispered. "I'm so sorry for everything." He moaned.

"Zelda... Where am I?" he asked slowly opening his eyes.

"The hospital wing." I replied. "What do you remember?"

"I remember horrible pain and then blackness." he answered.

"Link," I said softly. "You were attacked last night. Apparently Malfoy used an Unforgivable Curse on you. McGonagall told me this morning between classes that it has been known to cause fully grown wizards to go insane, you're lucky. How do you feel?"

"Like I've been to Hell and back." he mumbled.

"Well you won't be leaving for a while. They can't heal you fully using Wizarding methods and Hylian potions and the Triforce are weaker in the real world. They only thing that's been accomplished is your ribs are healed enough that they won't puncture your lungs and the internal bleeding has been taken care of, for the most part." I informed him.

"Ugh!" he moaned. "I can't stand being inactive."

"I know." I said. "Listen, I have to go, but I'll be back later." I kissed his cheek and ran to Transfiguration.

~Author's Note~

I will look up the spelling for that one spell later, but I don't have the time right now. Nintendo owns the Legend of Zelda characters. J.K. Rowling owns the Harry Potter characters.
