7. Midnight Ambush

Link's P.O.V.

I walked out of Dumbledore's office completely pissed off. Went outside and walked toward the lake. I pulled out my bow and started firing arrows at random moving targets. I finally started sniping a moving tree. When I got tired I put my bow away and sat down.

She didn't need me, she said that much herself. I don't belong at Hogwarts, period. I'm not a wizard. I can barely do Hylian magic let alone theirs. I stick out like a sore thumb anywhere I go. I got up and walked to the Forbidden Forest.

The forest, my favorite place. What could be in there that was so bad they didn't want students in it? Whatever it was, it couldn't be much worse than Ganon. I made my way back up to the castle. I had missed dinner and it was around midnight, but that didn't bother me.

I had the strange feeling someone was following me, but when I turned around no one was there. I suddenly felt someone breathing down my back. I turned back around and a wand was pointed at me. It was some albino kid and some dumb looking goons. I believe the albino was called Malfoy and his goons were Crabbe and Goyle. I reached for my sword and realized I had it put away.

"Shit!" I swore aloud.

"Well, well. Looks like the brave hero doesn't have his weapons." Malfoy gloated.

I wished I knew more than three spells. Farore's Wind was useless, because I needed a warp point. Nayru's Love was hard to preform and it only provided temporary protection. Din's Fire would work, but I'd kill these morons and get in huge trouble. The only thing I could think of was a Deku Nut.

I dug in my pocket and silently prayed I had one. No such luck. I slipped my hand into my other pocket and my hand wrapped around something. It was my slingshot and bullet bag. I slipped it out and loaded it without them noticing. I aimed it at Malfoy and fired before he could react and took off.

"Crucio!" Malfoy yelled and a jet of light shot out of his wand.

It was heading straight towards me, so I tried to move out of the way. Unfortunately I didn't move fast enough and it hit me. pain was excruciating. It was unlike anything I'd ever felt before. It made me want to beg for death just to end the pain. A twisted smile was on his face, like he was enjoying it.

"Coward!" I said through gritted teeth, before I let out a yelp of pain.

One of his goons, I can't tell the difference between them, kicked me in the ribs. Malfoy repeated the spell. It was pure agony as wave after wave of pain hit my body. But I wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of crying out, so it gritted my teeth. The edge of my vision started to go black. I wasn't going to black out either.

The goons started to kick me while I was down. I was still stunned from the spell. I heard a cracking noise and I knew some of my ribs were broken. A pain went up my right arm and there was a snap.

"Cowards! You fucking cowards!" I yelled as loud as I could. The last thing I saw was Zelda running out to me before the world went black.
