Link's P.O.V.

Dumbledore called Zelda and I into his office. At first, I thought it was about Marth and Ike, but I realized it was about our mission. He was checking in.

"How is everything?" he asked.

"Everything is-" Zelda started. I opened my mouth, but Zelda gave me a look that said "Shut up or I'll kill you." I quickly shut my mouth. "Everything is perfectly fine."

"I understand Link has been having problems with Professor Umbridge." he noted.

"Not a great first impression of your government." I said politely.

"I also understand you have no place for diplomacy." he said.

"Not at all. Zelda's the diplomat, I'm the fighter." I agreed. "At least I'm not from Ferox, where battle is their politics."

"He has a point." Zelda agreed. "But he's pretty close."

"Hey!" I exclaimed.

"Divine wisdom, can't argue." she told me.

"What's the situation on this Voldemort?" I asked. "I sense Ganon's presence in this world getting closer and closer everyday."

"I do not know." Dumbledore replied.

"I'm warning you right now, if Ganon rises in Hyrule, we Hylians will not be able to help with Voldemort. The security of our homeland comes before that." I told him. "The best we can do is try to keep Ganon from your world."

"Naturally, I figured that much was true." he replied. "But if this Ganondorf gets too powerful, you may not be able to hold him back."

"As long as Link holds the Triforce of Courage and I hold the Triforce of Wisdom, that shouldn't happen. We can keep Ganon in check and hold him back." Zelda said.

"The only way Ganon is getting the full Triforce, is if Zelda and I are both dead." I added.

"If that happens, the sages will seal him in the Dark World. He won't be able to escape that for a couple hundred years. By that time, Voldemort should be dead." Zelda continued.

"Should is the key word." Dumbledore pointed out. "'The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.' As the saying goes. There is always a chance of your plan failing."

"I don't plan on dying." I replied. "Besides, even if we do, we'll be back."

"'Those with the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero.'" Zelda quoted. "We are to be reborn and pursued by Demise's hatred until the end of time."

"I know of the curse." Dumbledore said calmly. "An old friend of mine filled me in on Hyrule's history. He was tied to the Royal Family."

"A Hylian? In the real world?" she asked. "What happened to him?"

"He had the misfortune of being our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher one year. Disappeared with the faint notes of an ocarina echoing in the wind." he replied gravely. "Now go to your dormitories. Professor Umbridge shall put you in detention if she catches you."

We left and walked back to Gryffindor Tower in silence. I wondered who the Hylian was and what happened to him. Why would he be in the real world to begin with? I bid Zelda goodnight and went to bed. I fell into a long, dreamless sleep.

~Author's Note~

I had this posted earlier, but Wattpad wasn't posting the whole chapter. I won't be updating this week due to the fair. J.K. Rowling owns the Harry Potter characters. Nintendo owns the Legend of Zelda characters.
