I tried experimenting with some haiku for this chapter...meh

I woke up in a
crowded room of anxious air
but I saw nothing.
“There are cuts everywhere!”
“There’s an especially deep one on the base of the neck. Apply disinfectant.”
“…just ran and jumped out the window for no reason.”
“She’s one of the crazier ones in here.”
“Been stirring up some trouble, I heard.”
My ears worked just fine,
however, and their words still
managed to sting me.
“We’ll need more bandages doctor.”
“What do you think? Should we try insulin shock therapy?”
“Try asking Dr. Makoid.”
“Would it be healthy for someone in her state, though?”
“It’s worked on countless schizophrenics, doctor.”
The word ‘shock’ was one
that pierced me the most. What if
they tried to kill me?
“She jumped out a window shouting ‘fire’! Ha, that’s just crazy.”
“It’s astonishing how they can actually hallucinate this vividly. It’s amazing.”
“Well, if you ask me, these psychopaths don’t even deserve to live. They’re rejections, mess-ups. Disgusting.”
I was angry, but
Clarence stood right behind me
and I was so scared.
