Paulina's POV

I sighed thinking of the note I received this morning. Every now and again I'd receive a threat.

"You okay?" I heard making me jump, snapping me out of my thoughts. Oscar looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. He placed the back of his hand in my forehead taking a look into my eyes.

"You sure you okay?" He asked me and I nodded pulling my hair behind my ears. He cocked an eyebrow at me giving me an intimidating look.

"Hermosa.. you've been acting weird lately..Is their something you aren't telling me?" He asked and I shook my head looking at him.

"No no I'm fine really..I'm just tired it's been a busy week," I said truth was I haven't been sleeping from the threats I've been receiving. But I couldn't tell Oscar that, he'd want to dig into my life and I can't have that. I'm trying to get away from my past not have it knocking on my door. He pulled me into a hug and I sighed wrapping my arms around his waist leaning my head in his chest. I felt his lips make contact with my head as he rubbed soothing circles on my back.

"Mommy! Mommy!" I heard breaking us from our comfortable silence. I looked over to see Carlitos' had fun up to us. He shoved a pretty rock in my face and I smiled taking it from his tiny hands.

"Wow Papito It's so beautiful thank you," I said devouring him in kisses.

"Ready to go?" Oscar asked and I nodded, Carlitos ran up to Oscar as he scooped him up in his arms. He opened the door for me letting Carlitos in first and then myself. He closed the jogging to the other side of his car. I stayed Cautious of our surroundings, but luckily the coast was clear.

"Are you guys hungry?" Oscar asked I was about to reply but Carlitos' beat me to it.

"Yeah!" He yelled and Oscar chuckled pulling up to a near by Denny's. We got off making our way inside the Denny's. Oscar took Carlitos from my arms as we were seated.

"Okay what do you want big guy?" He asked making small talk with him. I smiled seeing their bond grow stronger and stronger each day.

"I'll take the Chicken Tender meal please," I Said handing her the menu. Carlitos quickly expressed to her that he wanted the kids chicken nugget meal which made me giggle. Oscar grabbed a burger meal with some fries and a soda. The waitress was a little too invested in him, Pushing down her shirt and hiking up her skirt. I coughed loudly getting her attention as I handed her the menu, She gave me a glare as I smiled at her innocently.

"That will be all thank you," I said and she scoffed walking away. I looked over at Oscar who was smirking at me.

"What?" I questioned looking at him.

"Are you jealous?" He asked me and I scoffed laughing.

"What?! No I'm not jealous. Why would I be jealous?" I said helping Carlitos color his coloring page. Oscar chuckled staring at me, and I smiled looking at him.

"What?" I asked giving him a questioning look, He shook his head taking my hand in his.

"Nothing you just look really beautiful," He said rubbing the pad of his thumb on the back of my hand, A blush made it way onto my face as I looked up at him.
