Ch.13 Live a Little

Yusei grinned a bit as he got up that morning, stretching his tired body. It had been about a week and a half since him and Jack had kissed, and by this point, it seemed that Yusei's black eye was finally gone and the bruise on his jaw had healed up as well. He was finally looking better. After climbing out of bed, Yusei dressed himself in navy blue V-neck T-shirt; a pair of blue jeans; a brown belt; some black and white converse; and a black and dark red jacket since it was a bit chilly outside. Once he was dressed, Yusei exited his room and went over to his sister's, peering into her room.

"Hey." He said, popping his head in.

Yuko lifted her head, but she suddenly smiled. "Hey, look at you!" She grinned excitedly. "You look like you ready to go somewhere. So, who's the lucky guy or gal that gets to hang out with my big bro today, hm? Do tell!"

Yusei blushed slightly, but grinned a bit. "It's, uh, Jack."

Yuko squealed, pouncing off her bed as she ran and practically tackled her brother with a bear hug. "Oh my God, I'm so happy for you, Yusei!" She said happily, pulling back so her brother wasn't being crushed anymore. "Where are you guys going?"

"I don't know, Jack said it was a surprise."

"Well, you two have fun. I'll just go to the mall and hang out with Carly, Misty, and Akiza."

Yusei nodded. "Okay. I'll be back later."

Yuko smiled. "Alright. Have fun out there, and behave!" She giggled, Yusei rolling his eyes, but still grinned anyway.

After exiting his house, moments later, Yusei saw a white car pull up in front of the driveway. The raven grinned a bit as he approached the car, the passenger side window rolling down as Yusei peered inside to see a smirking Jack Atlas behind the wheel. "Hey there, handsome." The blonde greeted.

Yusei chuckled. "Hey, Jack. Right on time, as usual."

"Hop in, I've got an exciting day planned for the two of us."

Yusei nodded, opening the door as he climbed inside before Jack took off. As they drove, Yusei glanced over, taking note of what Jack was wearing. The blonde was dressed in a thin, light blue hoodie; a black tank top underneath; a thin, white windbreaker; a pair of blue jeans; a white belt; and a pair of white converse. Yusei hadn't really seen Jack dressed in something casual before, since he usually wore a dress shirt of some sort, nice pants, and some dress shoes, so it was a little odd seeing Jack in something so casual.

"Before you ask, I'm dressed this way so I can blend in more with everyone else since most people know who I am." Jack then said.

"Oh!" Yusei was a bit surprised that Jack pretty much knew what he was thinking. "How did you...?"

"I noticed the way you were staring me."

Yusei blushed. "U-uhh, I'm sorry!"

Jack laughed, ruffling Yusei's hair. "It's fine, Yusei, relax. Besides, you know I don't mind you staring at me."

The raven blushed again. "It's just...you're so handsome, and I'm--"

"Adorable."

"Wha?!" Yusei gasped.

Jack sent him a smirk. "You heard me. I said that you're adorable, especially when you blush like that." He winked, causing Yusei to blush even more.

The blonde gave a chuckle. "You're so cute when you get all flustered, Yusei." Jack said, gripping Yusei's chin for a moment as he slid his thumb against the side of his jaw before drawing his hand back, which somehow caused the raven to blush even more.
