"Get the hell up, you lazy fuck!" Yusei's father shouted from downstairs, realizing his son hadn't gotten out of bed yet.
Yusei just let out a groan, rolling over into his pillow.
"Don't make me come up there, you little shit!" His father then shouted.
This caused an immediate reaction as Yusei pounced out of bed and flung his bedroom door open, quickly running into the bathroom -- thank God it was vacant... He turned on the water for a shower, hastily jumping in as he washed himself down, finishing in about seven or eight minutes. Yusei didn't have time to cover up his marks and ran back into his room, throwing on a black, V-neck, short sleeve shirt; a pair of grey jeans; black socks; and a blue and yellow trimmed jacket with an extended collar. His hair was still damp from his shower, just jostling through it with his hands before brushing his teeth. After sloppily shoving his things into his bag, Yusei slipped on a pair of black converse without tying the laces, just shoving them into the sides of the shoes, before dashing downstairs. His father had already gone off to work -- thank God for that -- and Yuko was patiently waiting for her brother, who was out of breath, panting. Yusei frantically wheeled his runner out before grabbing the helmets, shoving one into his sister's arms. Yusei quickly took his helmet and rammed it on his head, until Yuko gently touched his shoulder, as not to startle the elder teen.
"Hey, Yusei, calm down! You look like you've just seen a ghost or something."
"Sorry... I overslept..." He sighed, his sister putting the other helmet on before climbing behind Yusei, riding off.
"It's okay if we're a couple minutes late, just so long as we don't get there at the end of class."
"I'd rather not be late at all." Yusei replied, speeding down the road and damn near scaring the crap out of Yuko.
"And if you keep driving like this, you're going to get us killed."
The elder raven applied the brakes, decreasing his speed. Yusei let out a sigh, Yuko doing the same, but it was one of relief. "Geez... Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"Sorry, Yuko... I've just...got a lot on my mind."
"No, I understand. I can tell just by looking at you."
"And what is that supposed to mean?" The raven raised an eyebrow.
"I mean you didn't even try to cover up your bruise or your black eye."
"Like I said, I overslept..."
"Did you at least bring something to cover It up?"
He shook his head. "No, I didn't have time to grab anything."
"Then just cover up your eye with your bangs for now. Besides, I don't think too many people will even notice if you just whip by them."
Yusei just nodded.
Once the two got to school, they hopped off of Yusei's Duel Runner, stuffing their helmets under the seat. However, before the elder sibling could take off, Yuko quickly grabbed his wrist. "Yusei, hang on."
"What is it, Yuko? I really have to get going."
"I know, but let me just give you something before you go."
"Fine, but can we make this quick? I've really gotta go."
Yuko nodded before reaching up and unclasping the black choker around her neck, clipping it on around her brother's instead. "You forgot to cover your neck, so I grabbed mine before we left, just in case. Good thing I remembered."
Yusei placed a hand on his neck, a small grin on her face. "Thank you, Yuko..."
"And one more thing before you take off." The younger raven reached in her backpack, pulling out a small makeup bag as she handed it to her brother. "Use this."
