Nightingale's POV
We're getting close to the next Ethereal with the same element as Ethan, Cocher or the descendant of the Scorpion. He's living at a place near the dry lands where they also experience winter. It's strange for a place like that.
"Ethan, are you sure he's living here?" I asked as we stand in front of a mountain being covered by massive dark clouds and hail storm. It's an isolated place in this land being the only one standing in the middle of nowhere.
"He's living at the top of that mountain beyond those clouds" Ethan answered trying to look through the thick clouds.
"You should be with Cougar and the others at the ship" I told Apollo who's hiding behind the trees behind us.
"I can't let you go with those two. I should be assisting you too" Apollo said who came out of hiding.
"I told you to stay with the others. Cougar can't handle any attack alone" I sternly said as I stare at him angrily.
"Tsk!" Apollo went back to the ship as we went and climbed to the top of the mountain. Since we arrived here before sunrise, we should reach the top by sun dawn or after sun dawn.
At the ship, Tyra, Andre, my brother Ardent and the boys are left to stay with Apollo and Cougar who will stay on guard to fight anyone who might attack them while we are gone. We are already halfway up when I heard something that sounded dangerous rushing down from above us.
"What was that?" Ethan asked after hearing a loud noise from above.
"Run" I told them as I start to run across to the other side.
"What?" Hale asked confused.
"An avalanche is coming" I answered that made them speed up and follow me. It was a narrow escape from the avalanche but we got closer to the top earlier than expected. This presence...
"It's coming from up there, let's hurry. He might be in danger" Hale said so we ran our way up and found a man encircled by a big number of Cavaliers.
"Ethan, take Cocher with you while I distract them. Hale, cover me"
"Understood" they both answered and went to position as I step into the crowd.
"Excuse me!" I shouted catching their attention after I changed my appearance into someone Cocher, and I, know.
"S-sister?" Cocher asked in shock while holding his weapon. A thick curved double-edged heavy blade that is attacked to a thick staff. It looked like a two bladed axe.
"Hi there brother! Who are these fellows?" I asked as I go near him shoving anyone blocking my way.
"What are you doing here?" I miss this guy.
"I came to fetch you but it seems you're in trouble. How'd you caught up in this mess?"
"They're after the Ethereal descendants"
"This makes two birds in one stone. Get them! They'll be thrown into the Dark dungeon" one of them commanded.
"Go see Ethan inside the house, I'll follow later" I instructed and brought out a weapon I bought at a village of blacksmiths. It's a long range blade connected to a staff. I already mastered using it during our stay at a blacksmith's village. Its blade is identical to Cocher's but this one is lighter and its blade is straight.
"Let's do this" Angel challenged then the Cavaliers attacked her by one by one and some by group. She effortlessly swept them off of their feet as she swings her weapon around to either push them away or wound them. She wields it perfectly making it too dangerous to go near her. Hale on the other hand hunts down all those in hiding with his bow and arrow going around and nearer towards the house. When Cocher got in, Ethan escorted him and was supposed to escape at the back door but it is guarded by the other Cavaliers.
