"The twelve Supreme Elysian are all captured" Clyde added calmly and softly.
"How can I trust the three of you when you all reek like an Elysian?" Nightingale asked without raising her head.
Clyde and Claude took off the brooch inside the collar of their shirt, which Arael gave them which will kill them the moment it detects disloyalty, and pulverized with their hands and wore both of their respectable Ethereal rings. Robin first took the crown sitting on his head and settled it down on a table that seemed to be spared from destruction. He took off the metallic purple cape with a moon shaped lock and laid it beside the crown. He pulled the ring that has a big oval stone of mixed dark and some bright colours and settled it down the table.
Robin reached at the wall behind him and touched some points then a square slab of wood came off showing a ring with a huge diamond gem resting on a golden frame like the other Ethereal rings. Behind the ring is a half skull of a very huge ram and is sitting on a white silky cape. The moment Robin wore those things from the secret compartment, the stink of Elysian faded. Nightingale stared at those at the table thinking that she would destroy them if her father will not but Robin shook his head.
"I tried destroying those things before but it seems they're made of materials that can't be damaged by fire or any element" Robin told her.
"Then take it somewhere no Elysian can reach" she told them with her already drying mouth.
"Niece, let go of it" Claude told her worriedly but she stood firm.
"Not until those disappear in front of my very eyes"
"It will disappear if the ritual is done" Robin spoke up half lying. The King's things will not totally disappear. They'd just be hidden until another Elysian King will come.
"I'll gather the Paladins" she told them but she can't do telepathy, not like this. Her mind is in disarray and his body is not in condition. She was about to fly down when Robin grabbed her arm.
"Return those to the Ram, Nightingale. Hold longer to it and your body won't be able to contain its power. You'll turn into ashes without warning" Nightingale was confused on why her father told her to return those, whatever he's talking about, but she did let go slowly. Bit by bit, her horns and wings started breaking away like fireflies. She stood still until she felt that her head and back felt lighter and that she doesn't feel so drained anymore. Despite of letting go, her eyes remained fiery. It has been her mark that she's still the Miscreant Angel and not the second highest ranking officer in Pentagon.
She tried taking a step but it felt more tiring than doing telepathy. She tried another but her knees gave up right after setting her foot down. None of them tried to help her up. She would just insist and even pull them on helping her to go. They watched her crawl her way slowly and at the same time, the Paladins, especially Hale and Cougar, felt her weakening while they're all being healed at the camp. They immediately went into their gates for the last time for her rescue but when they reached the top of the castle, Nightingale has already passed out and they saw it with their eyes.
Acre, Roy, and Ethan surrounded her with small water bubbles after Andre made a stone bed where Breal and Dylan lifted her to lay. Rumple, Harley, and Gale made sure those water bubbles are cool enough. Dale was forced to rest by his twin after they reached the camp with their mother who is also being tended to by the Healers.
"Will mother be okay?" Gale suddenly asked which broken the silence filling the atmosphere around them.
"She's still on her Miscreant mode. Normally, she would relax if everything is over" Ethan said and glared at Robin whom he just confirmed that is not an Elysian anymore but his hatred never wavered.
