Nightingale's POV

These pirates are planning something against us. I have been observing them every day from the shadows together with my footmen. Every break time they'll have a secret meeting and at night they would even last until after midnight. I had Ethan or Nathan to talk with me beside the main house during the break.

"Miss Angel! Thank goodness you came" Ethan came running to me catching some audience.

"Did something happen, Mister Nathan?" I asked in a loud voice.

"We caught a spy"

"A spy?"

"Yes Miss Angel"

"Have you taken care of the spy already?"

"Yes Miss Angel, we're about to take him to the port"

"How's his condition?"

"He can still manage to breath but I think we've handled things too much that he's unable to move"

"So we still need him to recover before we can extract any information. Do you know who he is?"

"He's from the pirates"

"From the pirates? Are you sure with that Mister Nathan?" I asked trying to sound doubtful.

"Follow me then" murmurs filled the place after we left then we went to the boat that will bring him to Hale. His feet and hands are tied tightly and he's totally bleeding from everywhere in his body. We caught him sniffing around the Pentagon with a radio like he's reporting something or more like confirming something.

"Take him to Sir Hale, escort them, I'll stay here as a monitor while you're away" I told him, well, this time it's real.

"Yes Miss Angel" he said and their boat left before the reinforcements comes. They're just behind me worriedly following the boat that had just left. It sounds like they're diving into a pool of nervousness. I can hear their heavy breathing and fast heartbeat. They have a hidden agenda in coming here, I'm sure of it.

Just the other day, Ethan and I took a boat and went ten kilometres away from the site where the pirates had landed. Using binoculars, we scanned the whole island and we spotted a huge piece of the port to the villages, it would be too huge to miss. Even if they don't have binoculars, the smoke coming from the village and the port would already tell someone that someone's in there, a large sum of it would mean it's inhabited.

Hale also caught one of the pirates who chose to work in his office found him searching his room with a small hammer on his hand. We can already tell that he's looking for the gate and the other one we caught is looking for our base. They clearly know who we are but are not sure if we really are those persons because of our disguise and we're not wearing our gems on our fingers but around our neck. And if they were to be Cavaliers, they won't be able to sense us because we're not communicating with our minds or through the holoship. Acre has his barrier around the Pentagon to hide and cancel any magic that leaks from the inside.

I saw one of them grit his teeth as he angrily sees the boat away from the corner of my eye. I turned around and pretended that I didn't hear them coming.

"Gentlemen" I greeted with a disappointed look.

"From the looks on your faces I'm sure you've already heard of your comrade" I said taking their attention.

"May I ask how did you found out that he's a spy?" Wrong words, my dear.

"Found out? Does that mean he's really a spy and you people know of it?" I asked baiting them. I searched their eyes and all I saw is panic and they won't meet mine.
