Robin, ever since setting his eyes on Yenna for the first time, he immediately felt disgusted on her. She looked and acted more like a succubus than a respectable queen. She has all the physical advantages of a good looking woman but everything about her is just as ugly. But she is useful in some ways. She wields her element like how she twists a man's mind into her palm. She is a dangerous foe even to a fire element, if the wielder is weaker than her, she can easily snuff out the wielder's fire like a candle light.
But he is not to worry about her right now. Usher is already catering his lust and her in return thinking that it is the king she's with. Robin would expect a pleasing result after tonight.
He's alone in his private study, lost in thought while staring blankly on the opened book before him. He certainly saw that strange formation of the bonfire last night when he was out star gazing on his porch. It is such a lovely flower nearing to a full bloom, so beautiful that the fire's colour was nearly bright red.
Robin's POV
Could it be possibly her? Come to think of it, I have not seen her for so long. Did she grow up like her mother? I have not received anything from Zoid these past months. The last thing he gave me was a portrait of the Miscreant Queen, or so he calls my daughter, but that was five years ago. Everything he's been sending were letters after that. The last one I received from him was a letter with only a sentence written on it.
'I'll be seeing to get her on the way,' he wrote.
Warm. It's getting warmer, but strange enough that it's coming from the outside and it's like the warmth is drawing me to get out to my porch. Before I noticed it, I am already outside stretching my eyes out towards the other side of the Grave of the Paladins where the Ethereal has camped out. They're dancing the Dance of the Stars again and their singing is just as loudly as last night.
If only I can get there to warm myself. These layers of thick robe I am wearing do not warm me at all. They just add weight to my already heavy shoulders, not even the fire at the fireplace in my study can give me the warmth I am feeling from the distant camp right now. I just feel so cold while watching the silhouettes dancing and singing around the wild bonfire.
But if I go there, they would not hesitate to end my life, but without me, without the king, the Sealing will not be complete. Right, I can alter my appearance but it would surely send signal to the Paladins, they will surely wonder who I am. While I continued arguing with myself, Claude came quietly to my side.
"You can go there if you want to, but I won't be able to accompany you. Your daughters and my sons... I might end up dead before I get to open my mouth"
"That's exactly what I'm thinking Claude, though your brother went there last night just like what he is. He did not receive a warm welcome though" I snickered and he followed.
"Well, will you go? The warmth is totally inviting. My twin says so too"
"That stupid lout" I shook my head and heaved a sigh.
"I shall go then. If they look for me... tell them I am not to be disturbed" I told him and went back into my study to change my heavy robes into trousers and shirt.
"As you wish, my king" Claude said with a slight bow and his palm on his chest. I leaped off from my porch and spread my arms out. It eventually felt like a caged bird that was finally set free. Before I could land at the edge of the Grave, I opened my gate sending me straight behind the Ethereal camp.
I stayed away from the camp but maintained a clear view of what's happening. I immediately searched for the Paladins, and my daughters too. They're talking to each other but they both seemed serious and are now glancing my way. Did they happen to notice me? But I am sure I have covered my presence to its maximum. I was about to jump to another tree when a knife flew past my face hitting the tree and when I looked down, both of them are there staring at me. I jumped off from the tree branch and landed just as lightly.
