Nightingale's POV
My peaceful sleep was ruined by a loud explosion that reverberated throughout this side of the ship. I quickly went off the bed and hurried to the control room and saw Tyra, Cougar and the captain.
"What's the situation?" I asked as I stand beside them.
"We're under attack" Cougar answered while manipulating the control board that is painted with colourful buttons of different shapes and sizes, and switches.
"Don't worry mademoiselle, this is an easy pie" Tyra smiled, calmness clear on her face.
"How did they find us?" I asked her flatly.
"That's something I cannot answer mademoiselle. I, myself, do not know how" she answered.
"Put the situation on the screen" I commanded when I saw the huge nine feet screen in front of us.
"Aye" Cougar said and in one click, we saw jets above the submarine roaming in circles like vultures. The camera zoomed in until we got a very close image of the logo at the side of it.
"Elysians" I whispered as I saw the three lightning at the side of one of the fighter jets.
"Preparing the missiles" Cougar said as he spreads his fingers on the control board.
"No, let them be. Submerge" I commanded. I noticed that it's not us, they're targeting. But who could their target be?
"Aye" Cougar said then the image disappeared as I feel our downward motion.
"MOTHER!!!" I heard the boys shout as I hear their footsteps getting nearer. They came running with terror on their faces, tears brimming on their eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Someone's trying to get us" Harley cried.
"But we managed to run away before he puts us in the sack" Rumple added.
"Sack?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's small and black but when we look in it, it's so wide inside" Rumple answered.
"Boooys..." a male voice said in a creepy tone that made them hide behind me. We waited for him until he came out.
"Hale?" Tyra asked curiously.
"Hi there, have you seen the boys? I'd like to play with them" he said in an innocent tone as he smiles.
"What are you doing?" I asked then he turned to me and eyed the boys behind me.
"Uhm... scaring them?" he answered with a chuckle that sounded amused in any way.
"Do it on the right time" I told him plainly and shepherd the boys back to bed. He just scratched the back of his head wearing an apologetic smile. Cougar and Tyra can handle this on their own.
I don't think there's a mole amongst us. Those jets could be just some coincidence... I hope.
"Mother..." I looked at them while we're lying down with my arms on each of them behind their neck.
"Are we going to meet our grandparents on our way?"
"Maybe" I shortly answered but then I remembered, I haven't heard any from home.
"I also have a brother" I told them.
"A big brother?"
"Yes"
"Is he a soldier like you, mother?"
"No, but he's a noble man"
"A Duke?" they asked in excitement.
