Long time ago, the sky is only occupied by the sun during the day and only the moon during the night. With the dark clouds covering the moonlight, it's impossible to travel especially to those creatures who can only wander by night. Twelve unnatural creatures, representative of their own race, came up to something. They will light up the dark sky. They tossed every single thing that has light, torches, lamps, even sending fireflies but their efforts are futile. Those things didn't reach the night sky.
With nothing more in mind, to kill their remorse, they keep on digging the land until they found something shiny and beautiful, each of them. Gems, the hominids call it. This is the last straw, they thought so they went back home. With the moon on its highest they held it praying that their wishes will come true filling it with their hopes. Those gems shined beautifully with pure light and it slowly ascended towards the sky. They are successful. Now all of them filled the night sky with the gems representing their family. Later on, the hominids witnessed the shining small dots at the sky and called it stars.
The hominids realized it was them who lighten up the sky. They were soon called Ethereal Paladins of The Sky, for they are guarding the stars and their kindness is heavenly. For centuries they have reigned with peace but not until the Elysians came. They had the physical features of a hominid and the abilities of the Ethereals. In a short time, these Elysians surpassed the abilities of the Ethereals and found their weakness. The Elysians created thick black clouds hovering the sky covering everything, the moon and stars, and even the sun. The world became dark.
The hominids pleaded the Ethereals to bring back the light but they themselves don't know what to do. The hominids now turned to the Elysians and were given hope. The only way is to sacrifice the Ethereal Paladins which the hominids found it hard to do. Some sided with the Elysians and are persuading more and more.
"The hominids are naive"
"They will forever be"
"Don't hold neither grudge nor hatred and even kill, for it is evil"
"We're not called Paladins of the Sky for no reason"
By then, the Ethereals agreed to the consequence of the Elysians. They made a contract that is hoped not to be broken. In exchange for the Ethereals' lives, the Elysians should never touch the heavenly bodies and create darkness ever again. The Elysians will rule the hominids except for the descendants of the Ethereals.
The Ethereals became stars themselves shining at the night sky. Their death made such grief to those faithful ones. They created a religion and made the Ethereals their gods. The descendants didn't want this, their ancestors are no gods. The only one who should be called God is the Creator of this world. The Elysians became jealous of it and because of their hatred they made the world dark once again.
Once broken, sealed forever they will be.
It was written on the contract which they fullyignored. The current heads of the descendants of the Ethereals were disappointedto the Elysians' action and decided to put an end to their greediness. With themoon on its highest, the same night for the first stars to appear in the sky,they did the ritual sealing the Elysians under their home, mount Perdit.
