This is a one shot for the remembrance of smoky quartz
Steven was laying on his bed taking a nap, due to all the pressure of the latest missions garnet said it was necessary to take a break for a few weeks, only her amethyst, bismuth, pearl blue and yellow diamond went on missions for the time being. Peridot and lapis stayed with Steven to keep him company.
One day peri was messing around on her tablet then she got a notification on it
It read "the fusion of Steven and amethyst anniversary of showing up YOU CLOD!! >:{"
Peridot looked at it and looked back at Steven who was starting to wake up "oh, hey Peridot. What's going on?" he asked
"Do you remember smoky quartz?" Peridot asked
"Well of course I do! Me and amethyst first fused at the beta kindergarten remember?" Steven smiled at the memory "why?"
"Well, my tablet recently notified me that today, August 5th 2018 is the second anniversary of you and amethyst's first time fusing. " Peridot said
"Oh my gosh! I forgot to celebrate last year!" Steven cried.
"What's the big deal? Its just fusion! Garnet doesn't freak out about the fact that she forgets her fusion date." Peridot said
"That's different, she's married!....to...herself...." Steven said "she's supposed to worry about her WEDDING anniversary!" Steven said
"Oh. Right" Peridot rubbed the back of her neck
The warp pad lit up and the gems were there.
"Hello you three" garnet smiled
"Hey." lapis said
"Hi!" Steven said
"Greetings!" Peridot said
Amethyst rolled over to Steven and wrapped her arm around him "heyy" she smiled. Steven covered his face and blushed "h-hey.."
All the gems giggled, including the diamonds.
"Amethyst can you meet me outside later?" Steven blurted
"Sure dude, whatever..." amethyst smiled as she walked into her room.
"Is everything okay?" bismuth asked
"Yes I am! Everything's okay! Evreythimg to worry about! Bye!" Steven walked outside
"Did he just say, 'everything to worry about?'" pearl asked
Garnet walked outside to see Steven pacing around the beach.
"This is the anniversary of my favorite fusion involving ME! How am I supposed to celebrate?"
"Why not have a little birthday party to just you and amethyst?"
"Ah!! Oh, hey garnet!"
"Hello Steven."
"Still trying to ponder on what to do?"
"Yeah..."
"How about I make you and amethyst a cake?" garnet suggested
"Yeah! It can be chocolate at since its been 2 years you can put two candles! One pink and one purple!" Steven smiled
Garnet nodded "yes. And Greg gave me a cookbook to help me out. So that should be easy."
Steven gave garnet a hug "thank you garnet!" he smiled
A few hours later
Amethyst was talking to Peridot when all of a sudden
Steven runs inside completely frantic
"Amethyst! We need smoky! Its an emergency!" he shouted
"What's going on?"
"No time to explain!"
Steven grabbed amethyst hand as smoky quartz formed and ran outside to see garnet standing there holding something
"So what's the emergency?" smoky asked
"Happy Birthday Smoky!" garnet cheered as the gems came out behind her cheering
"What's going on...??" smoky asked looking around
"Its your birthday! Sorta..." bismuth said looking around "rose never fused with amethyst so we figured we might as well celebrate.."
"I don't know what to say..." smoky blushed
"How about, 'wow, thanks!" Peridot smiled
"By the way, this was mostly Stevens idea, not mine" garnet whispered and winked.
"Wow, thanks you guys, and Steven" smoky blushed
The brown fusion then blew out the candles and they all (even pearl) showed down on the cake
Afterwards smoky sat on the shore smiling, "being a fusion is the best thing ever. I love it"
The fusion then traced little shapes in the sand resembling the fight against jasper, and the wonderful moments between Steven and amethyst themselves
