Summer Changed Me

Summer

The week and a half passed quicker than I thought and it was finally summer, I had more bruises but not just because I got beat up but because I decided to start fighting back.

Anyway back to it being summer, Armin, Mikasa and I were going to a beach house thanks to Armin who's grandfather let us use it for the summer. Armin convinced me to stop wearing the contacts that make my eyes yellow and leave them at home, to be honest I'm quite glad he did and I'll stop wearing them from now on.

We got to the beach house and unpacked the things we brought, the first thing we did was go and get a haircut, all three of us, Mikasa decided to get her hair shorter because it was getting in the way. So now I had short hair that fits me so much better, Armin looked like a coconut head which made me and Mikasa laugh when I said out loud but we both liked it and Mikasa had her hair to shoulder length. We went back to the beach house and ate dinner while chit chatting after which we all went to sleep, it was a long day of packing and unpacking.

//Time skip to morning//

I woke up first because I wanted to get an early head start on my plans for the summer. First thing was contacts, which is checked off, then hair and that was checked off, next thing was getting a bit more fit, so I decided to get up early every morning and I am determined to do so and go for a run each morning. I got on a t-shirt and shorts that go to my knees, I grabbed my phone and earbuds, I put my earbuds in my ears and put some music on while going to the living room without waking Mikasa and Armin, I grabbed my dark blue converse and left the house again without waking them. I stretched first and then started running.

After about maybe 3 or 4 hours of running I got back to the house and it was now 12:38 am, I walked in to see Armin and Mikasa watching TV "Eren!" Mikasa jumped and hugged me, I pulled my earbuds out but before I could get a word out she pulled off me "Why are you sweaty? And where were you?! I was worried" she yelled slightly, I was still catching my breath a bit, I saw Armin turn off the TV and go next to Mikasa "I was out" I said and walked to the kitchen while they followed, I grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge and drank a bit of it less than half to be precise "Out where Eren?" Armin asked me calmly "Out on the beach, just running" I said as I took another sip of my water "Running? For how long?" Mikasa asked "About 3-4 hours I think" I said as I calmed down. "Wow you woke up that early? You know that school ended 3 days ago right?" Armin asked "Yeah I just want to get a bit of change of pase you know" I said as I went back to the living room and sat on the couch, Armin gave me a towel and I wiped my face with it from the sweat after saying thanks. "So what you're saying is you want to change during summer?" Mikasa asked curiously "Mhm" I nodded then added "I'm thinking of joining the gym too" they looked at me than at each other, then they nodded between each other, I looked at them with a raised eyebrow. "We can join too" Mikasa said "Really?" I asked "Yeah then we can have more things to do and we can spend more time doing this together" Armin said excitedly "Alright then" I said. Then we talked about what I was planning to do this summer, talking about how I wanted to get more fit and they said they could help me with making special meals and drinks.

//Time skip to 2 weeks later//

The first 2 weeks I didn't go swimming in the sea because I still haven't told Mikasa about my bruises so I hid them until they fully healed, Armin knew about them but he didn't say anything about them to Mikasa. During those 2 weeks I started going to the gym with Mikasa and Armin every day after my run, Mikasa would join me sometimes, Armin wasn't able to keep up so he decided not to go with us and stay at home making something to eat for when we or I came back. We loved spending time together in the gym, sometimes we would all go, sometimes only me, sometimes only me and Mikasa or me and Armin, but I never skipped a day, my body got used to it after a week and I started to be more fit, my body was getting more of a stronger figure I guess.
