So in this chapter Eren has a nightmare of his 'past life' as in this might look like a reincarnation au, but IT'S NOT. I'm not turning this story into a reincarnation au so keep that in mind, this story stays as it is, there might be a story in the future on the reincarnation au and I say might bc I doubt it unless you guys really want me to write one.

I held my friend close to me while he was covered in blood of his own. A lot of us died today but was it all worth it? To be defeated once again? I looked around as I saw people still fighting the titans. I put Armin on the ground softly and used my 3DM gear to return to the fight. I kept fighting but more and more people were being slaughtered and killed. My anger was building up as we killed more titans, this was the last of them, everyone is depending on us to win this fight, to end it all, to end our misery and to get our freedom back. "Eren watch it!!" Mikasa yelled at me as she cut the nape of the neck from a titan behind me. We fought and fought until "Captain!!!" I heard someone yell, I looked the way I heard it from and saw my lover held by a titan about to get eaten and my rage built up so much, I bit my hand and turned to my titan form now completely in control of it. I used the coordinate and controlled the titan to let him go, then kicked the titan into a whole group of them. I ran to them and killed them all but more came and the more I fought the more I got exhausted and it made me unable to fight in my titan form anymore. I used my swords and got out of my titan as the other titans ate the body, I used my 3DM gear and went to Levi who was being helped by Hange. I got to them, they were about to fall when I caught Levi and helped "E..Eren thanks" he said "Save your strength there's still titans to fight, then we can see the ocean together" I said softly to him, he seemed to smile but then went back to a blank expression. "Can you fight?" Hange asked "Yeah" he said and stood on his own, Hange flew off with her gear as we stayed on the ground "Are you sure you're gonna be okay to fight?" I asked concern in my voice "Yeah brat I'll be fine, let's go we have to end this" he said. "I'll be by your side the whole time" I said, he nodded then pulled me closer "Levi this isn't the time to-" he cut me off with a short soft kiss. He pulled away "Just in case, I wanted to do that one last time if one of us dies today" he said softly "We are both gonna live" I said, he didn't reassure me just looked at me then went off. I didn't pick on it and went close to him to cover him, we fought together but I can see that Levi's movements are a bit slower than before. I fought of 2 titans so Levi wasn't in my field of view and once I looked his way, my eyes started to water as I turned again and punched the titans head off as he dropped Levi who was covered in blood, I caught him after cutting out of my titan body. I lowered us to the ground with him in my arms and on my knees "Corporal please, look at me please Levi come on" I cried as I held him, he looked at me weakly and put his hand on my cheek "E-Eren keep...fighting..for humanity" he said weakly "Levi please don't leave me, please, keep breathing please, we're gonna get you out of here, we're gonna get some help" I was about to get up with him in my arms when he stopped me "Eren..no...I can't believe I'm saying this but, I-I'm too weak to continue, I-I love y-you Eren, remember...that" he said as his hand slid off my cheek leaving blood on it and him going lifeless, his breathing stopping.

Waking up

I sat/jumped up from my sleep, my breathing quick and heavy, my forehead sweaty and my heart beating faster then it ever did before from fear. I tried to calm down but I couldn't, I looked next to me and noticed Levi wasn't there, I looked around to make sure that dream didn't happen in reality, I was at Connie's on the couch with mine and Levi's phone on the coffee table next to the couch. I calmed down slightly, I looked around again but Levi wasn't here anywhere then "Are you alright Eren?" I was still breathing heavy and my heartbeat was still fast, I was still slightly sweaty "Hey brat I asked you something" my head shot to the voice and saw it was Levi with 2 cups in his hands walking to the couch. He lowered the cups on the coffee table and sat down next to me as I looked away after the image of him covered in his own blood flashed in front of me once I looked at him. "Hey tell me what's wrong?" he pulled my chin to look at him "It's um.." the image flashed in front of me again and I looked away again as I held my face in my hands. "Eren what happened?" he grabbed my wrists softly and lowered my hands from my face "Sorry, it was...just a nightmare Cor-Levi" I messed up and stuttered as I talked "What was it about and what did you almost say?" he asked as he made me face him, I didn't want to see that image so I was looking down "I was gonna call you Corporal and in the nightmare everyone was fighting some humanlike creatures that were 15 meters tall and most people died, then there was you who was um the best fighter, but you got hurt and somehow I could turn into those creatures and I saved you but I couldn't save you the second time and you died in my arms while covered in blood, now I look at you and see that image in front of me" I said while slow tears went down my cheeks. He wiped the tears away and made me look up at him softly, the image flashed in front of me and I wanted to look away but he didn't let me move my head. "Eren concentrate it was just a nightmare I'm right here and I'm perfectly fine, just focus and look at me" he said softly, I put one of my hands on his hand, I was looking at him and I saw him perfectly fine except for the tears in my eyes which make him slightly blurry then he continued "I'm not gone, you can feel my hands, you can feel my body heat next to you, I'm sitting right in front of you, everything is fine" he said and I hugged him. "Thank you Levi" I said "It's alright, I'm here" he said in my ear softly, we stayed quiet as we held each other.
