Volleyball club. (part 2)

Quick A/N I reread what I wrote so far and I realized that I said in the first chapter that Levi us 1 year older than Eren and that some of you may say that they shouldn't be having classes together well in this story all the students are mixed no matter what year they are (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior). So don't comment things like that because I already noticed that and realized it, but it's my story so deal with it.

Last time

"Nice job brat but try to catch my spike" Levi said "Sure" I said as I got ready, everyone watched.

Levi threw the ball up in the air, spiked it and...

I runed at it and tried to catch it, but it just hit my arm and went sideways out of the court. 'Damn it!' I thought as I hit the floor slightly, I looked at Levi who was slightly smirking, I got up but slight pain went through my body and I went on my knee. Zach came up to me "Are you alright?" he asked as he tried to help me stand, I pushed his hand away and stood properly "I'm fine" I said "Again" I added as I looked at Levi "What?" he asked "Again" I repeated, he smirked and grabbed a ball, Zach stopped him "Maybe you should change before trying again, it would be easier to move if you changed into your gym clothes" he said to me "I guess so" I said, I was holding a groan in from the slight pain. I grabbed my backpack and went to the changing rooms, I went to my locker and that's when I fell to the floor slightly and groaned "Damn it, fucking stupid asshole son of a bitch, fucking horse face, I'm still not fully healed and I try to catch Levi Rivaille's spike, yeah that's smart" I cursed out "Ugh whatever, I'm gonna try again hurt or not" I said as I got up, I opened my gym locker, put my backpack in it and then took my shirt off, I unwrapped my stomach a little and checked my bruises, they were faded but still hurt when they get to much of an impact. I sighed and wrapped my stomach again then changed fully.

I got out of the changing room and walked into the gymnasium, everyone looked at me as I walked back into the court where Levi was bouncing a ball, his face was emotionless again but I saw a glint of worry in his eyes. 'What is he worried about? Is he worried I'd catch his spike? No that's not it, he was confident that I won't be able to, then what's the worry about?' I thought to myself before I got called "Eren!" Kira called, I shook my head as I focused on what he's saying "Sorry, I was thinking" I said "It's fine, Rivaille said he's ready" he said "Oh um right" I said and looked at Levi "Don't be disappointed if you don't get it" Kira said as he got out of the court. I breathed 'I can do this' I thought, Levi threw the ball at the teammate on the net, he bounced it up and Levi spiked it, again I tried but failed. I got up "Again" I said, he looked at me, the slight worry showing in his eyes was still there, but never the less he took another ball and spiked it again even tho he hesitated for a moment and again I failed "Again" I said once more, he did as I said and spiked it again and I failed again.

We kept going at it until "Enough" Zach stopped us, I looked at him while panting "Take a break Eren you too Levi" he said "Why?...I can still...keep going" I said while panting "You're clearly out of breath and you need to take a break plus we need to talk about you joining the team, that is if you don't already have an answer" he said. I looked around at everyone, I could see the expectation in their eyes, but once my eyes landed on Levi, there wasn't one glim of expectation just glints of worry as he looked at me. I looked back at Zach "I do" I said "Then do you want to join the team?" he asked, he obviously has seen me play so that is taken care of now I just need to answer "I'll join the team" I said, Zach then shook my hand and told me to go grab a bottle of water.

I did as he told me and went to the changing room where I slid down the lockers behind me including mine. I groaned as I took my shirt off and unwrapped my bandages, I looked at my stomach to see that my bruises are gaining colour again "Damn it" I mumbled "I knew I should've held back" I heard a voice next to me. I looked at the person and saw it was Levi "W-What are you doing here?" I choked on my words slightly as I asked "I heard you talking when you went to change while I was passing the changing rooms earlier" he said and kneeled down to me. I moved away slightly as I started to wrap myself up again but he grabbed my wrist and stopped me, he pulled my hand away from the bandages, I looked at him as he slid his fingers softly over the bruises, I blushed and looked away, there was complete silence in the room but it wasn't awkward not one bit.

He trailed his finger up my chest to my chin, it felt good but I wasn't gonna let it get to me especially since I don't want to let any sound come out of my mouth. He grabbed my chin and made me face him, I was red from the touches he spread on my body, I wanted to look away, I grabbed his wrist pull it off but he stopped me with his other hand pulled it off his wrist "U-Um..." I tried to speak, to form words but my mind was racing from his touch and I couldn't, he touched my cheek gently then pulled away, I think he realized what he was doing. "Right, I want you to rest for the rest of the week, no more fighting or throwing yourself on the floor" he said, I still felt the heat on my cheeks, the tingling sensation that went through my body from his touch "A....A-Alright" I stuttered "I'll tell Zach to let you off practice this week" he said and started walking away "Um wait!" I called him, he stopped and looked at me over his shoulder "Were you worried about me?" I asked softly, he didn't answer just walked away.

'I guess he was' I thought, I softly got up and wrapped the bandages around my body again, I changed, grabbed my backpack then remembered I left my jacket on the bleachers. I went back to the gymnasium and to the bleachers, Zach walked up to me "Hey Eren, Levi told me to let you off practice this week, can I ask why?" he said "Um....I um.." I started 'Should I lie to him? Or should I tell him the truth?' I asked myself "Is it something connected to you going on your knee earlier?" he asked. "I guess I shouldn't lie to you, yes it does" I said as I sat down after grabbing my jacket, he motioned me to continue as he sat down next to me "I need some time for my bruises to heal, I was jumped by a bully and got beaten up a bit yesterday" I said "Mhm" he nodded as he understood "Alright then, you're let free from practice this week and just so you know, we practice on Wednesday and friday each week after school" he said "I won't forget and thank you" I said while giving him a small smile "It's no problem, go home I bet you need some rest" he said as we stood up "Yeah I do, but before I leave, can you please keep my injuries a secret I don't need the whole school knowing" I said "Sure, now go home Eren" he said "Thank you, bye" I said and walked out of the gymnasium while he waved at me.

I walked out of the school and went home where I rested for the rest of the day.
