The Fight

Chapter 11

A couple days later, after getting situated from being home alone, things had calmed down quite a bit. I began to get used to my neighborhood and to the new schedule I reviewed for training.

I became adjusted to the school flow and blended in with the group. This was new too me, I never felt blended in with the group. Everyone had their own chill flow and everyone got along, no matter what special ability they had. There are still a few people avoiding me since they fear my father, and I've been curious lately to know what he had done.

I began walking to the gym after taking a little time to study in the ginormous library.

"Seth! Come quickly!" Lucas had shouted in the gym where students practice their fighting skills.

I began to run from the corner of the gym to where Lucas was at, in the opposite corner. As I approached him, I saw a mysterious figure in the end, like a man, but in the form of a shadow.

The students began to be aware of it and began to flock out the gym, leaving me and Lucas alone. Seems like they knew who it was, not even telling us to leave.

The man began to approach us slowly and we stepped back a few.

"Seth. Don't step back. Don't be afraid." Said the figure.

How does it even know my name? I was puzzled and stepped back even further with Lucas. We stepped back until we couldn't go any further. The mysterious man had an invisible force stopping us.

Lucas began charging at him and he swayed his hand, which blew Lucas to the wall and knocked him unconscious.

"Now that it's only you and me. Let's talk shall we?" The man kept walking to me and I began to panic.

I swayed my arms to protect myself, and a strange force in the shape of an X began flying towards the man. He was hit and flew back a few feet away from me.

I looked at my arms, confused with what was going on. I was astonished that I had done this on my own, no one ever told me about what I could do what I have.

The man stood up steadily, "The same powers as your father, yet...not in complete strength. I have to stop you before it gets stronger."

The man waved his hands and sent an invisible force towards me and I dodged it, and began charging towards him.

Once again, he sent another attack and this time, I reflected it quickly towards him, which knocked him down off-guard.

I jumped on top of him and began to throw hard punches at his face.

After the 4th punch, he blocked my fist and kicked me off him. I was able to react quick and landed on my feet and just as I lifted my head up to focus on him, he was a foot away from me, and swung his foot low towards me.

I quickly jumped up in the air to dodge his kick, but I wasn't kick enough. The man was able to turn a 180° switching from a low kick to a high kick, which hit me on my sides, sending me flying to his right.

I landed a couple feet from the wall and stood up, holding my side from the impact he gave me.

"Now now. Don't strain yourself now child." The man smirked. He disappeared into thin air of black smoke and appeared behind me. I was caught off guard and casted a spell on me, but touched my back.

"Don't fight it. This is a simple gift from me. You'll thank me later." The man laughed manically and disappeared from sure.

I began to yell in pain and began to lose consciousness. I fell to my knees as Ms. Grant rushed in through the door. Her voice was already distorted and I hit the floor. Unconscious.
