I slowly began to open my eyes..., "Seth! Are you okay?" I regained my conscious slowly... I found myself lying down on someone's bed. Lucas was standing next to me, waiting.

"You lost conscious earlier, like someone possessed you and beat the living hell out of the three thugs! At the same time also!" I looked at him as he explained what had happened.

Lucas then calmed himself down, "Would you like anything to drink, or eat?" I saw up on Lucas' bed, allowing him to sit in front of me, "No thank you, I like your room..., It's..., unique..." Lucas blushed a little before his mom walked in.

"Good, you're up now. How are you feeling?" She looked like a regular human: blonde hair, blue eyes, regular body. No wings or halo. I thought she would look different. "I'm feeling well, a bit of a headache. Thanks, Ms...?" "Ms. Dauphney, you may call me Amber if you like."

That was her name, Amber Dauphney. She seems nice, but I could never be sure if she will be nice to me. "well, at least you're up now. Lucas was worried about you. Well, I need to go to work, bye Lucas, bye Seth. Be careful you two." And she was gone.

"My mom gets called in for work a lot. Which means she's gone for a week or so." The sound of her car echoed as she drove away. "Are you the only child Lucas?" He stared for a moment, took a deep breath and said, "I have a younger brother, and sister, both under the custody of my father. I have an older brother, but he chose to be a demon, and as for my older sister, she's in college, so technically I'm the only child with my mom. She's great, really, just unfocused because of work."

I started to feel sympathetic for Lucas, even though my mom is like that also, sometimes.

"Don't feel bad for me Seth, I'm used to this." Lucas said as he stood. The clock in his room was blaring 5:45. "Oh snap, I need to get home., at 6:15 latest. I have to go Lucas."

He then nodded in agreement and led me to the door and then to his car. It took 10 minutes to arrive at my house, "Thanks Lucas, I'll see you tomorrow." I said as I got off the car and walked to the door. Finally, a true friend, puzzled with things.., but I have a better grasp..., hope that I keep talking to Lucas..., but Fran? Where on earth is she...?
