Josh's Problem

Josh's P.O.V.

I'm having the worst day my girlfriend Erin just broke up with me and she was smart about she told me over the phone, and when I said I'm going to get my stuff from her place she says she's already on a plain Maine. All I have is the money in my wallet I had to rent a cheap motel room. Then my phone started to ring.

"Hello." I say in a low voice.

"Josh is that you?" It was my mom and she sounded really sad.

"Hey mom what's wrong? If you need me to come by I will." I tried to sound sympathetic.

"Ok Josh please come quick, I really need to talk to you."

"Ok mom love you, bye." I needed to get ready quickly, it sounds like my mom might be to sad to be left alone for to long.

30 minutes later.

I finally got to my mom's house and it seemed pretty quite, my dad is usually working in if garage or doing anything outside to help the house or my mom. I walked in the house and say my mom crying on the couch."Mom what's wrong." I say while I sit on the couch." It's your dad h-" I cut her off. "Mom it's ok when dad leaves after a fight he always comes back." I tried to sound confident." Josh no. Your dad was hit by a truck and we are lucky he survived but there is a very small chance he will make it through his injury." Now my mom was really crying. I can't believe it my dad might die, I remember one of my best and worse days with him.

Flashback

School was over and I was going to my room when I heard my dad call. " Josh come here I have a surprise for you!" I instantly turned to go to my dad, I love his surprises."What is it da-" I stopped talking when I saw a N64 in his hands and I also saw Golden eye and Mario Kart with two controllers." Hey Josh" my Dad had a low tone " I bet I'm a better racer then you, I bet I could kill you more times." he smiled. " Its on dad" I tried to sound confident. He beat me in Golden Eye but I won in Mario Kart. "Well time for you to hit the hay." Dad said. "Ok good night." I said before walking to my room. I got in bed when I heard my mom come in the door. "What the hell is this doing in my house!" "What the N64." My dad said confused." Yeah that get rid of it now it cost money that Josh will need for sports." My mom sounded really serious." I can't get rid of this Josh loves it!" My dad was yelling now." Well now he will love soccer I signed him up earlier today." I couldn't believe what was happening the last thing I heard was the door opening and slamming my dad was gone for a month.
