Three months had gone by since Nae-un enrolled in Seoul Magic Academy. She was one of the top students in her year. She had worked herself ragged to get into the Academy in the first place, once she finally got there she worked herself even harder. She wasn't going to let the time she spent away from home go to waste. Her family would often tell her how proud they were of her and would tell her to go easier on herself but it was because they were proud of her that she didn't want to stop working. She was determined not to disappoint them.
Nae-un worked as a waitress/barista in a large coffee shop on weekends so she could have money to buy food, commute around the city and visit her family. Her week was occupied with lessons, practice and study. Nae-un had opted to take an extra set of classes, meaning the only free time she allowed herself was her visits home over the breaks.
"Nae-un ah! Wait for me!" Nae-un's only friend at the academy came bounding up to her as she walked out of the lecture hall to get lunch. "Hey Hana. How was class?" Hana scrunched her face in disgust at Nae-un. "Yaaah! You can't think of anything else to talk to your friend about?" Nae-un was in a joking sort of mood so she decided to tease Hana "In my defence it's not like I asked you to be my friend" the other girl playfully slapped the back of Nae-un's head "Yah! You should be grateful. You wouldn't have any social life if it weren't for me" smiling Nae-un went on "That's kind of how introverts make friends. Some extrovert just shows up one day and adopts them" they both laugh at the idea "as your adoptive mother I say we need to go out somewhere together for once" "I can't.... I work on the weekends and I have extra classes" Hana sighed "maybe you DONT need to be that grateful after all. Seriously Nae-un your grades aren't going to drop if you take a day off for yourself" Nae-un smiled "I'll bear that in mind"
Hana and Nae-un's rooms were next to each other in the dormitory, on her first day Hana burst into Nae-un's room mistaking it for her own and almost undressed herself before Nae-un came out of the bathroom. From that extremely awkward situation Hana insisted on being friends. The two of them had similar schedules so they would often eat together and walk to and from classes together.

Nae-un had maintained that timetable the entire time she was at the academy. Her family had noticed that she was looking a little thinner than before she had left. She told them it was just because she had taken up jogging but actually Nae-un wasn't eating properly. Whenever she was busy or stressed, Nae-un would find it hard to eat or sometimes she would just forget to eat all together. Nae-un had put soo much pressure on herself and opted to spend soo much extra time learning that she wasn't taking proper care of herself. She just kept on telling herself that it would all be worth it once she finished studying and had her dream job working for the Supernatural Investigation Department. Hana did make sure that Nae-un ate at lunchtime during the week though, so she wasn't loosing too much weight.
