Nae-in translated the rest of the books using the same spell so she could avoid ever having to to go through that again. With all eleven books translated she felt a massive weight lifted off her shoulders. She marked the page with the tracking glyph and decided to go to sleep. She wasn't able to sleep very much at night in the two weeks she had been there. The stress of finishing her work kept her awake and she always had her hands tied behind her back as soon as her guard left the room, which was extremely uncomfortable.
While Nae-un was sleeping Jungkook looked through one of Nae-un's books. He was surprised by how much of it he understood. Most of the book was filled with diagrams of glyphs for different spells and in depth explanations on how to use them. There were a number of Magical terms that he didn't understand. Things like Aphia, sub-glyph, array, vai-gal and summon C.F which sounded more like a computer function than a Magical term. If she hadn't been asleep he would have asked Nae-un what they meant, all though he was fairly certain that he wasn't on good enough terms with her to get much of a response but then again Nae-un seemed genuinely happy and grateful when he let her use magic to finish translating. Maybe he would get an answer out of her for once.
The other members came back through out the day, Namjoon didn't arrive until late in the evening. "She said she's found the spell we need hyung" "about fucking time, I was wondering if she'd ever finish" Yoongi said from the couch. "Should I go wake her up so we can do it now?" Jungkook asked eagerly, he wanted to see Nae-un do more magic. "It's late, we can do it in the morning" Namjoon said walking to his room. The others went to their rooms as well.
Taehyung and Jungkook shared the room next to Nae-un's. The walls were thin so they were able to hear pretty much everything that went on in her room. They had heard her crying to herself a few times. Like Jungkook, Taehyung felt bad for what happened to Nae-un. "Tae?" "Yeah" "why do we feel so bad for Nae-un?" Taehyung thought for a minute and whispered back "I don't know about you, but I feel bad for her 'cause she never really did anything to deserve this" "what'd you mean?" "Well normally we only go after people who owe us something or did something to us. Nae-un was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. So I feel bad that she got dragged into all this" "she couldn't even put up much of a fight, she was easy to find and easy to catch" Jungkook said. "Do you think the others feel bad?" Jungkook thought to himself, he thought about each of the other members "Maybe, I know Jin hyung doesn't like that we keep her tied up in that room all the time and Namjoon always likes to avoid getting normal people involved with what we do" "yeah, I guess that's true. Goodnight Jungkook" "G'night Tae"
Nae-woke up early in the morning, as usual. She didn't hear any sounds of movement outside her room. She stretched herself and realised, her hands weren't tied behind her back.
// Jungkook must have forgotten to tie me up yesterday. It was way more comfortable to sleep with my hands free, if I offer to put a magic cancelling glyph in here maybe I could convince them to stop tying me up. I don't think my arms can take it anymore, not to mention it's pulling muscles in my wrists, if this keeps up I don't think I'll be able to do magic when they ask me to. //
She knew that they would want her to track the person soon so she decided to start reading up on the spell. She sat cross legged on the floor with the book on her lap and dozens of crumpled up sheets of paper with Nae-un's practice attempts at drawing the glyph, strewn around her. She was facing away from the door so she didn't see the person standing behind her, watching her with amused curiosity.
Namjoon had woken up before all the others. He knew Nae-un had a habit of waking up early so he decided to go talk to her about who they wanted her to track. When he opened the door he found her sitting with her hands free scrawling notes onto a sheet of paper. He had always expected her to make a break of it as soon as she got the chance. He made sure she was either tied up or being watched because he thought she would us her magic against them to escape.
