Nae-un watched in shock as they carried Hoseok into the hideout and laid him down on the kitchen table. "What happened to him?" "Shot. He pushed Dami out of range but he didn't get out of the way in time"Jungkook replied, they all seemed to have shut down. " oh god. What're we going to do? I'm soo sorry hyung" Nae-un could hear Hoseok's low groans of pain and the amount of blood he seemed to have lost was horrific. She thought of how cheerful and goofy Hoseok could be, even though she was scared of him and she still resented them all for kidnapping her, she was not ready to see him die, not like that.
She hesitantly stood up and approached the table. Up close he looked even worse, pale, sweaty, breathing heavily and barely conscious. Nae-un was surprised herself with her sudden burst of determination to save Hoseok. Taking a deep breath she looked up at Jimin and Jungkook "Did the bullet go right through his body?" her voice was calm and measured even though on the inside Nae-un was extremely panicked. "I don't know, we didn't check" she nodded and gently untied the hoodie around the wound and rolled up his shirt slowly so she could see the wound properly. Gently, she put her hand under his back trying to find an exit hole, there was none. Nae-un's heart sank and she started to panic even more, she knew how to close up a wound but not how to remove a bullet. With a slightly shaky voice she told them "The bullet is lodged somewhere near his pelvis. If we don't get it out fast it could poison him." She was met with silence "don't any of you know how to remove a bullet!?" She asked desperately even though she knew it was ridiculous to expect them to know how to do something like that.
She paced back and forth, running her hands through her hair, wracking her brain for a way to remove the bullet. She could only think of one way and it would be extremely painful for Hoseok and extremely hard on Nae-un, who still hadn't fully regenerated her soul from the week of hard work she had been doing. Hearing Hoseok let out another agonised cry, snapped her into action. "Right! I'll get the bullet out of him myself. Someone turn off the magic cancelling glyph, we need to be quick!" She ordered with more authority than she had ever used while speaking to any of them. She tied her hair back and went to the sink to wash her hands. "I need a belt" Taehyung ran to his room and shortly came back with a thick leather belt and handed it to Nae-un. She took it without a word and spoke as calm and soothingly to Hoseok as she could manage "Hoseok, stay with me ok.....l've got a way of getting that bullet out of you..... but.... I've never done this before so you'll have to bear with me alright? Listen I don't have any way of sedating you so this is going to hurt, please try not to move while I do it ok?" He nodded weakly and Nae-un put the belt between his teeth, to keep him from biting his tongue or damaging his teeth. "one of you come and hold him down while I work and someone get me a knife!" she ordered
Setting the knife down next to her she formed the glyph around her hands. Her hands shook soo much, it took two attempts until the glyph formed correctly, she stretched her hands out as far as she could until she had formed a thin, glowing, blue needle made of a glassy, semitransparent material. With her left hand maintaining the glyph, Nae-un slowly pushed the needle into the bullet hole with her trembling right hand. Hoseok tensed up as soon as the needle went in and Nae-un could see his face contort in pain, Taehyung and Jin held him in place and both nodded assuringly at Nae-un. "Hoseok I'm trying to be as gentle as possible but this next part is going to hurt a lot so be ready" She somehow managed to speak calmly but her shaking hands gave away just how nervous she was. "Ok in 3...2...1" on one Nae-un pushed the needle right into the wound with a quick wrist motion, ignoring Hoseok's strangled cries of pain, she slowly moved the needle from side to side, looking for the bullet. When she found it, she altered the glyph on her left hand so she could remove it. Once she felt the needle had a strong grip on the bullet she carefully pulled it and the needle out of the wound and left it on the table.
