Nothern Lights

Tony had been complaining for weeks about how hot it has been since it's summer, so he decided to fly all the avengers to the mountains for a much needed vacation... in Alaska.

You personally didn't understand why he rather go some place freezing when he could've just taken you all to Hawaii or something, but it was still a vacation and you were going to make the most of it, especially since it gave you time alone with your boyfriend, Loki.

Of course the first thing Tony wanted to do upon arriving at the beautiful house in the mountains everyone would be staying at is throw a party.

You were getting ready for said party when you heard Loki begin to complain as he sat on the bed, waiting for you to finish so you could leave and get this over with.

"Love, I don't understand why we have to go, can't we just tell them that we're sick and that we don't want to go, or simply just say we don't want to go."

You sighed and took a seat next to Loki on the bed, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips.

"Tony was kind enough to take us here for a vacation, the least we can do is just show up to the party and stay a while, okay?"

Loki reluctantly got up and the both of you made your way to where Tony would be holding the festivity.

Only an hour into the night and Thor had already gotten everyone drunk, Bruce was stuck on the chandelier while Steve was trying to desperately get him down, and you and Loki were just in a corner talking and making fun of how quickly everything escalated.

"Do you want to go outside for a bit? I think everyone's too occupied with Dr. Banner to notice we've gone," Loki suggested and you giggled, grabbing his hand and leading him outside.

The both of you found a conveniently placed benched and got comfortable on it, you snuggled in to Loki's side as he placed a blanket around you to keep you warm.

After sitting in a comfortable silence for a while, a beautiful array of colors lit up the night sky in a natural phenomenon known as the northern lights.

"Oh wow it's so beautiful," you remarked awestruck, always wanting to have seen the aurora borealis but never having the money or recourses to go anywhere and see it.

"Not as beautiful as-"

"Really Loki, that line?" You giggled and in turn Loki smiled at you warmly, leaning in and softly kissing you. The kiss lasted for a while and caused you to shiver since your lips were so warm and his were so cold.

Once he finally pulled away, Loki pressed one more kiss to your forehead and brought you as close to him as possible, never wanting you to leave his side. "I'm so lucky I get to be here with you, (Y/N), I love you so much and I'm so happy you're in my life," Loki confessed and you smiled kissing him one more time.

"I love you too Loki, and I've always wanted to see the northern lights and I'm glad I got to see them with you."

The both of you sat there for a little while longer until you fell asleep, Loki carrying you back inside into your shared room and putting you under the covers to make sure you were warm and comfortable as he slipped in next to you, holding you close.

In the end he was happy he attended Tony's party because he got to spend quality time with you which is all that mattered.
