As You Wish

Warnings: maybe one curse word haha, loki being a douche bag

Working for S.H.I.E.L.D was by no means easy. You had to go on tough, excruciating missions; sometimes get into life or death situations. After having to do all that you never thought you would encounter something worse than almost dying or getting tortured.

How naive you were. You ran a hand through your hair in frustration as Director Fury assigned you a new task: to watch over the high security prisoner himself, Loki Laufeyson.

"No way Fury. First off I'm not a babysitter, and second off, he's an annoying, entitled brat who things he deserves everything," you explained not at all wanting to do this. You much rather be kicking ass on an exciting mission then watching over a grown man who is trying to take over New York.

"Listen agent (Y/LN), we don't know what Loki is capable of. He somehow took over agent Barton's and Dr. Selvig's mind and knows the current location of the tessaract. You are one of my most capable agents and I'm trusting you with an important task can you please do it?"

You sighed and reluctantly nodded your head. "Fine I'll do it just know you owe me," you joked while Fury took you over to where Loki was being kept. As soon as you approached the glass prison, Loki let out a sinister chuckle.

"And who is this? Another failed attempt at trying to get me to reveal the location of the tessaract? Well if you're going to bribe me with a woman, you might want to bring in someone... more attractive," he said smirking, a scowl immediately forming on your face.

"Listen up you weasel, the only reason I'm here is to babysit you and make sure you don't escape, and I assure you I rather cut off one of my limbs then ever do anything with you," you spat, the annoying smirk never leaving Loki's face.

"Alright, well I'm going to leave now, but I'm trusting you (Y/LN) don't let me down."

And with that, Fury left; leaving you all alone with the god of mischief himself. Sighing, you sat on a chair and began to read a book to pass the time.

You didn't even get through half of the page, when Loki began to bug you and ask you questions.

'Are all Midgardians as annoying as you?'

'Does Fury really believe the only thing you're good at is sitting and making sure someone doesn't escape?'

You finally snapped and had enough of his questions.

"Loki can you shut up? Just be quiet and let me do my job and I promise this will go smoothly for both of us."

He nodded thoughtfully and picked up a book of his own to read.

"As you wish."

It was the next day and you were dreading your meeting with Loki. Although last time he was compliant with your request for him to shut his mouth, you had the sneaking suspicion that it was all an act and that he was waiting for the opportune moment to escape or cause some other sort of mischief.

With a rekindled determination to not let him get the best of you, you walked straight to the chair in front of his glass confinement and sat down.

"Good morning agent (Y/LN), I trust you slept well?" Your eyes widened in surprise at his question. "Oh uh sure, yeah I did," you answered uncertainly and he only hummed in approval.

After 10 minutes of silence you decided to just ask what has been bugging you. "Why are you being so...nice? I don't trust it," you mumbled the last bit to yourself only to hear Loki laugh.

You didn't want to admit it, but his laugh made your heart skip a beat.

"My dear, I'm only doing what you requested of me, I'm making sure this goes smoothly for the both of us because I had time to ponder and you're right; we're stuck together and we might as well make it as bearable as possible to be in each others presence."

"That's reasonable... thank you."

"My pleasure."

A/N: Hi everyone :) I'm really, really sorry if this is bad it's just at the moment I'm having a bit of writers block, but I hope it'll go away soon. I also might do a part 2 to this or like a mini 3 or 4 part series at some point because I have a couple of ideas to add on.
