Tell me what's been happenin', what's been on your mind. Lately, you've been searchin' for a darker place to hide, that's alright. But if you carry on abusing, you'll be robbed from us
I refuse to lose another friend to drugs. Just come home, don't let go.He stands outside her parents' house clutching a small bouquet of pink roses. His heart is pounding as he tries to work up the courage to knock on the door. The last time he seen her she was so ill; he had spent hours by her bedside begging her to go to treatment and get help. He couldn't have been more relieved when she finally agreed to get help.
'You coming in or what?' A voice asks and he turns to find Demi standing at the front door with a small smile on her face.
'Hi...' He says softly.
'Hey... Do you know you've been standing out here for like fifteen minutes?' She asks as he makes his way towards her.
'I didn't realize it had been that long. I just- I wasn't sure if you wanted to see me.' He admits handing her the flowers.
'I'll always want to see you, Wilmer.' She replies. She wraps her arm around his neck and instantly pulls him closer to her. Wrapping his arms around her, he can't help but smole
'You look good.' He says causing her to smile.
'Thank you... I can't thank you enough, Wilmer. I don't think I would've got help if it wasn't for you. Once again you saved my life and gave me something to live for.' She admits biting her bottom lip as she tilts her head back to look at him.
'You saved yourself, nena. You gave me one hell of a fright but you most certainly saved yourself.' He says.
'I gave myself a fright; I didn't realise things had gotten so bad again.' She admits shrugging her shoulders as she leads him into the house.
'Everyone is out.' She says as he glances around the empty living room.
'So what's your plans?' He asks as they both sit down on the sofa.
'I'm selling my house... I don't want to be reminded of it every time I go home. My sessions with my therapist have been increased and I'm attending more meetings. I slipped up but I'm not going to let it beat me.' She replies causing him to smile.
'Have I told you lately how amazing I think you are?' He asks.
'Mmm... I remember in the hospital you kept telling me that you loved me and that the house was also there if I decided I wanted to come home.' She says and he nods his head.
'I meant it, nena. I can sleep in the guest room if you want.' He replies.
'That place has so many happy memories and I just- I know I didn't want you visiting when I was in treatment but I needed to focus on me and what I wanted.' She says.
'I completely understand. You don't have to explain yourself to me, nena. You never have to explain taking time for yourself, okay?' He replies.
'In the hospital you also said you'd marry me in a heartbeat.' She says.
'You heard that? I didn't realise you heard me.' He admits and she nods her head.
'Did you not want me to hear?' She asks causing him to smile.
'I wasn't that fussed. I just didn't think you heard.' He replies.
'Did you mean it?' She asks.
'Of course I did. I've always loved you, Demi. I always will love you.' He replies causing her to smile.
'I love you too. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone.' She says quietly.
'I just- I want to come home but other than that I need us to take things slow. Being in treatment I realised that I've been searching for this missing piece of me when really you're the one who makes me whole.' She replies.
'We can take it as slow as you need to, nena.' He says softly.

Making her way into the house followed by Eddie, Dianna can't help but smile as she finds her daughter curled up on the sofa in Wilmer's arms. The bouquet of roses is lying on the table and Demi is tucked into Wilmer's side. It's been a long journey; four months of intensive treatment and now six weeks of being home. She knows Wilmer would've came as soon as her daughter was released from treatment but he knows she needed her space to heal further.
'Do you think they're back together?' Eddie asks and Dianna shrugs her shoulders.
'I don't know but I know he's exactly the kind of person she needs right now.' Dianna replies smiling.
