5~ Take Risks

Yesterday was great I actually felt like I was getting somewhere with Caleb. We know what we need to get to build Pluto and honestly im freaking excited! "Kristina" Emily's voice sang I turned to her and waved then I saw who she was pulling along with her Zach "Zach just wants to say sorry for being so rude" he looked away and Emily pulled his arm down "Right?" She growled out in a deadly tone.

He sighed loudly and turned to me "Im sorry I have been rudeee to you" Then he smirked and winking, I then grinned in return "Apology not accepted toodles!" I waved off and skipped away. Jeez he is such a douche. I saw Caleb by his locker with a piece of paper in his hand. I walked up to him and snatched it out of his hands "HEY!" he yelled but I read it anyway.

'go die you worthless nerd, no one will care not even your own family. FREAK!' I felt my blood boil I ripped the paper up furiously and turned to him "Who gave this to you?" I barked he shrugged and looked away "Don't believe this, don't believe any bad thing anyone says to you" I growl out and walk away with the paper and threw it in the bin. People don't even know him "Kristina! Wait up" Emily's voice yelled out, I kept walking on though just slowed down a bit.

"Saw you yelling at the freak, nice job sista!" I looked over and glared at her

"I wasn't yelling at him and he is not a freak" I grumble, her eyes widened and she pulled me back on my arm almost making me fall in the process "You don't actually like him do you?" She asked with a disgusted face and snickered slightly, I really should take a risk with this.... But I just cant I have been doing this for so long im just used to it "No of course not, I just need him to do the work and just a lot of things going through my mind sorry" She put on a huge smile and waved her hands

"Its alright, Zach is seriously sorry though"

"Em I don't want to be in a relationship at the moment or do it with anyone" She sighed and let it go but then her super excited mood reappeared "Did you know a new guy is coming, hes supposed to be really hot I could hook you up with him, he starts tomorrow" I laugh lightly and shrug.

"Kristina! There is someone here for you" I frown and go down stairs to see Caleb standing there awkwardly. I then realized I was only wearing shorts and a baggy jumper... hopefully I look ok, wait why would that matter? "Um hey...what are you doing here?"

"We uh I...." I laugh lightly and grabbed his arm pulling him in with me.

"Oh mum this is Caleb, my partner for my science project" I yell before shutting my door "So what brings you by?" I ask sitting on my bed with my legs crossed "I just.... Wanted to come over" His voice cracked and I saw his eyes start to water up. "Hey, hey whats wrong?" I asked pulling him down to sit on the bed with me, a tear fell from his eye and he wiped it away quickly.

"They took her...." He whispered "They took my little sister" He cried out, I pulled him into a hug and rubbed his back reassuringly "Who...who took her?"

"My grandparents and they live in Canada! They came and hour ago they said my mum wasn't capable enough to look after her.... They didn't even care about me" He hugged me back now tightly it felt good, I felt safe in his arms.. "Why did they say that about your mum?"

"Because shes an alcoholic! She comes home drunk, I cook for my sister, I  lay with her until she falls asleep... She was my everything and now shes gone!" He's opening up to me.....

"Shh.... Its okay" After around 10 minutes he fell asleep. I laid him down slowly on my bed and sighed. His mum comes home drunk! He has to do everything for himself, he seems so alone... I want to be the person to help, I want to be his friend that will care for him and always be there for him. I looked down at him, before I knew what I was doing my hand lightly ran down his pale face. I felt sorry for him, no one knew the hard life he had.

So what am I going to do? Help him or keep my reputation....
