Faith Mikaelson had lived her entire life sheltered.
She, her mother and her sister had been moving from place to place for as long as she could remember. She never had the chance to make one place a home.
She knew why, of course. Her family were some of the most notorious serial killers on the planet. She'd never met that side of her parentage however.
She'd heard about her rambunctious Uncle Kol, her honorable Uncle Elijah, her fashionable Aunty Rebekah and her stunning Aunt Freya.
Her favorite story character however was her father, Niklaus Mikaelson. She'd thought of him as a hero, a man who'd always protect her. He may not have been at her side, but he was there in her heart, for now at least.
