As Klaus Mikaelson stared down at his beautiful daughters he couldn't help but feel amazed. His little Faith and Hope were so grown up. The last time he had saw them they were only two years old, now they were seven. It had been five years since he saw his girls.

His princesses.

As he looked at the girls he could see that Hope had hair lighter than Faiths. He could tell that Faith had taken more after her mother.

He couldn't wait to see their eyes.

"Want me to wake them for you?" Hayley questioned, breaking him out of his trance.

"No," he responded, not breaking his eye direction, "Let's let them sleep."

Staring down at his daughters, the original hybrid genuinely smiled for the first time in 5 years.

......

"-And I'm not asking!" Faith Mikaelson heard, as she and her sister opened the door to the porch. Early that morning, Faith had tried to look out her windows to catch a glimpse at the people she had heard moving around down stairs. She was unsuccessful.  She could not wait to see them, but could also tell Hope was quite uncertain.

All eyes turned to the three Labonair women walking out of the house. Faith wearing a large grin on her face, while Hope was slightly hiding behind her mother.

Suppressing a gasp at seeing his daughters, Klaus stood open mouth, staring at them both. They appeared even more beautiful than they did last night, and their eyes, their perfect eyes.

"Everybody, look who's awake." Hayley announced, giving each family member a warning look to watch themself.

"Hello." The dynamic duo said to the family, the eldest twin slightly louder and more excited. She bounced on the heels of her feet, her energy level too high to stay still.

"Hello." Klaus greeted back, slightly more hesitantly.

Seeing her sister was overwhelmed, Faith turned to her mother, asking, "Mom, can we go and play in the garden." She didn't want Hope to feel uncomfortable, even if she would have to wait even longer to meet her family.

"Yeah. Sure." Hayley agreed. The two girls ran down the stairs to their garden. Before the two could run off, Klaus caught another glimpse of their eyes.

He had missed them so much.

......

Walking towards his daughters, Klaus stopped at the chair next to the table they were drawing at. He watched them paint, Faith again painting the same serpent. She felt compelled to the image, not being able to draw anything else for the last few weeks.

Looking at their art, Klaus complimented, "That's lovely."

"Mom said you like to paint too." Faith mentioned to him, glancing up.

"I do. Very much." Klaus responded, not sure what to do now.

Picking up a piece of paper, Hope puts it out for him to paint. Signaling with her eyes for him to sit down. After he did so, Faith gave Hope a thankful glance, she'd finally be able to start asking her questions.
