Opening the door to his daughters room, Klaus stared at his girls who appeared to be sleeping. He kept his eyes on them, when he heard indistinct whispering behind him.
Closing the door behind him, Klaus looked around him. He seemed very on edge and nervous. Glancing around him as of waiting for something to jump out.
In reality, Faith was wide awake as Hope slept next to her soundly. Faith had been unable to sleep since she felt the Hollow once again. She was scared.
...
"You need to go to the bayou without me." Klaus told his elder brother.
"Why?" Elijah questioned, looking up to Niklaus.
"Take the girls. I'll be right behind you."
"What are you saying?"
"One of my daughters nearly died. I have to make sure the threat to her is over." Klaus vaguely explained.
"Not without me." Elijah protested, wanting to help.
"Brother, Marcel loathes you most of all. Freya will help me here. I need to know my children are safe. You and Hayley can assure that."
...
While Hayley and Elijah were having their own conversation, the girls were talking. "Faith, are you sure you're okay?" Hope concernedly asked her sister.
"Yeah, little sis. Absolutely."
That was a lie.
In truth, Faith had felt horrible. An ache had formed in her chest, and it was getting worse and worse. She didn't know what was wrong, but Faith wasn't going to tell her little sister that. She knew Hope would just worry to much.
The two had decided to pick flowers for Mary. Mary was definitely the closest thing they had to grandmother, and loved when they got to spend time with her.
Hope went ahead of her, further towards the small house, and as she was passing her mother and Uncle Elijah, Faith muttered, "Gross.." as the two kissed.
Giving her eldest a glare, Hayley gave her a kiss on the forehead, before pushing her closer to the door.
Reaching the door, the twins simultaneously knocked on the door to which they got almost an immediate response. "Grandma Mary!" The two squealed.
"Oh! Hello sweethearts!" Mary responded, "oh my girls! Oh!" She hugged them both.
"We picked some flowers for you!" Faith told her, holding out the small bouquet of yellow flowers.
"Honey darlings, how about you head inside." She softly told them, "I need to talk to your mama."
The two girls nodded, and walked over to a small dining room table. Taking seats on opposite sides of the table it was silent in the small house.
"I don't believe you." Hope quietly told her sister, glancing up from playing with her bracelet.
"What're you talking about?" Faith gave her younger sister a confused look to cover her real expression.
"I don't believe you're fine. I know somethings wrong, Faith. We're twins, I'll always know."
