She remembered it. The shouting, the smoke, the fire. She remembered all of it. Her dad yelling for her mom, but she couldn't move. She was frozen on the ground, just listening. Listening to her whole world change, listening to the end of Hayley Marshall.

She'd woken up before Hope. Her aunt sat in the chair in front of her, as she confirmed the thoughts she already knew were true. Now she walked the ground of her school.

Everything around her made her think of her mother. The way the sun sat in the sky, the breeze hitting the leaves. The slight breeze in the air that would cause he to shiver just the slightest bit. She felt her mother everywhere she went.

It had only been a day, and her funeral was already coming. The worst part was no one could be there for her. Her father couldn't be there. Her aunt and uncle couldn't be there. No one. She was alone.

She was always alone.

The jet would be there any soon. The plane that would make everything official. Faith had already put on her dress, all she was waiting for was the text from her Aunt Freya.

She blamed herself. She was the older sister. She should've been there for Hope, she should've known better. She was the reason her mother was dead.

"Where's Dad?" Hope asked as three of the Mikaelson women stood in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

"He'll be here soon. He's just waiting on Ivy to help him with the astral projection." Freya explained to her niece to try and calm her.

"Everyone else?" Faith asked, as she took a sip of her 'water'. In reality it was a large bottle of bourbon she had spelled to look like a water bottle. This was one of the first spells she had made herself, and she was very proud of it.

"Marcel should be here. Vincent. There's Josh." Freya pointed out.

"What about Declan?" Hope asked looking for the chef.

"Please tell me someone told Declan." Faith said when she saw the look on Freya face.

"He's in Ireland. I-I was so focused on everyone else..." Freya tried to explain.

"Oh, my God, Freya."

"That's just wrong."

"I'll fix it." Freya told them.

"This is all wrong. She didn't even know all these people." Hope said as she stared at the many people there to celebrate her mothers life.

"Your mom made a mark on this city. Everyone's here to honor her." Freya told her in response.

"But where are all of her friends?" Faith asked looking for the people she'd grown up with.

"Marcel, where are you?" Freya spoke into her phone, panic lacing her voice.

"I'm with Vincent. There's something we got to take care of. Cover for us." Marcel told her.

"Cover for you? What the hell are you doing?" Freya said wide eyed.

"This is all wrong." The twins mumbled in unison as they looked around them. Hayley Marshall never would have wanted this.
