Do you know who you are? Do you know every inch of your mind? Do you know what you would and wouldn’t do? Let me explain, do you, know how far you would go? Would you get drunk? Have sex with a guy you are too drunk to remember? Would you have a baby at sixteen? Would you lie after lie after lie? No, well I thought the same, here’s my story. Enjoy, because I didn’t.

Chapter One Party @Milligans

I had exactly two hours to get ready for my sixteenth birthday party at eight, but most people would probably show up around nine; it was rule of thumb to come an hour later. But I was Clutch Milligan so people could come sooner because of that, I was the IT girl at West High School. I stared at my reflection wondering if I looked any different, I had tried the same thing when I first woke up but I still looked the same; blonde hair blue eyes, dimples and a few freckles just from my cheekbones and across my nose. I was average height and ten pounds under weight, which at my school was average.

            “Clutch what are you doing? The party is in a couple of hours!” Tana yelled in a high pitch sequel, her dark brown hair flailing everywhere. I had always been a tad bit jealous of Tana’s mocha skin color, the way the sun seemed to kiss her body in color! I wasn’t pale but I was a little lighter than fair skin.

            “Oh I was just… uh deciding which dress to wear.” I lied unconvincingly, I was THE worst liar! It might have had something to do with that I had never seemed to need to lie, because when your parents are hardly home and a giant house perfect for hosting parties and birthday bashes, you didn’t need to lie!

            “You already picked out your dresses; host dress, gift receiving dress and opening present dress and then party dress, and of course your birthday suit for Brent!” Tana cooed, blush peaked at my cheeks as I thought of Brent and I that way, you know THAT way! Brent Vanderbilt, my boyfriend for a year, since my birthday marked the middle of the year and our anniversary; he had come to my freshman birthday and asked me to be his girlfriend which was THE best birthday! Why not top it with the night of my life? Tana wagged her eyebrows at me giving me her flirty look, which she gave everyone.

            “Sure and I guess, do you really think this is a good host dress? I think it’s a little… pink!” I stared at the strapless sweet heart short puffy hot pink dress with rainbow rhinestones under the bust cups. It was pretty but I didn’t want to be so innocent, but I guess as the night went on they would see the transformation, from awkward fifteen to sexy sixteen!

            “Come on its perfect! Now put it on and lets go check on the party planners! We HAVE to have this be PERFECT!” She yelped and clapped her hands, Tan was a cheerleader and on the varsity team even though she was a sophomore, I was too but I played on the varsity girls Volleyball.

            “Oh alright! But I’m sure there doing just fine without us!” I grabbed the puffy pink party dress off the hanger and stripped my clothes off, with Tan shaking her head at me; I heard the soft thud of the door shutting. My cellphone played the usually ringtone for Brent; Right by my side by Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown. I smiled as I tugged on the dress feeling the soft yet tight material. I unlocked my IPhone to see the text he had sent me;

            GONNA B LIL LATE, HAD 2 TURTOR LONGER THAN USUAL, LOVE YOU :))

I admit I’m a little sad, if he can’t make it to my birthday party then maybe we shouldn’t have sex, I know the whole wait till marriage thing is a big deal but not to Brent and I. We always said that we love each other so it shouldn’t really matter if we’re married or not since we plan on being wed after high school. I do love him; even if he didn’t come at all my love would still fully consume me.

            “Are you done?” Tan asked pushing the door open, I brushed a tear away and smiled at Tan who took it and grabbed my hand.

            “The walk way is finished and the food is on its way, the DJ called and said he’ll be here in ten minutes.” Tan explained and I slipped on my glitter shoes and walked down the spiral staircase to the entrance.

            “Sounds great, so… no one cancelled right?” My biggest fear was that no one would show up, but I was Clutch Milligan right? It wouldn't just be embarrassing, it would be the ultimate DOOM! I didn't think I could handle being rejected like that, who could?

            “Nope all five hundred and fifty-six are coming, no freshman’s like you said!” I nodded smiling as Canby turned the surround speakers on playing my favorite song;

            “Cake cake cake cake cake!” Rihanna sang, I couldn’t control my body I started dancing to the song, the bass blared in my ears. Canby was my older sister, she’s nineteen and goes to Stanford an hour away from our house, because she got in our parents bought her a town house a block away from her school.

            “Canby!” I didn’t get to see her a lot since she was always doing something and now that she didn’t live at my house anymore. I missed her a lot, she was always guiding me in the right direction, told me what to wear to get people to notice me. She was the best big sister ever!

            “Once a party crasher always a part crasher!” She exclaimed running up to me and hugging me; I inhaled her sweet musky vanilla perfume and loved it. The song switched to “Young Forever” by my best girl; Nicki Minaj.

            “So where’s Todd?” I asked Todd was her boyfriend for a couple of months now.

            “Probably with some hoe, I could care less!” I raised an eye brow she had told mom that he was the one.

            “But I thought- “so did I kid, that’s what we get, good girls finish last!” I bit my lip out of habit, Canby flashed a smile and the music was turned up a little more. We all sashayed to the dance floor and let the party planners get the party ready.
