Tara is a night owl since she is the top decile in her class right from the high school to date. She studies and upskills herself in the nighttime as she finds quietitude only at that time which helps her to focus on her education and co-curricular activities unruffled.

Tara started her accustomed work that night. She finished her dinner and went to her room. She washed the face and refreshed herself. She has the proclivity of writing the fascinating events in her day-to-day life in an encased diary. She updated her diary daily at least with a single enthralling incident which happened in her life or occurred around her which created a great impact on her.

Tara unfastened the knots of the elegant brown leather string of her mesmerizing diary which had a metal leaf antique piece tied to one end of the string. The case was made out of leather and bounded both sides of the diary. The leather case was bright orange in color with an exquisite pattern of leaves engraved on the leather case from left-hand corner to the middle of it.

Tara then took her golden nibbed Parker pen which had a golden color section and blind cap. The barrel of the fountain pen was dark blue in color with a light blue color stripe design in it. The outer cap of the pen was identical to the barrel design and color. The clip of the cap was golden in color. She possessed such an artistic diary and pen which reflected her love and passion towards diary writing.

Tara commenced recollecting that day's happening. She pondered on the incidents that occurred from morning till night. She couldn't think of any memorable or worthy event. She felt the day was very mundane.Out of the blue, it hit her mind. She retrieved that incident from her memory. She began to think deeply about it. She was egg-headed and a nerd right from her school. So she was not much into guys or dating. In fact, she neither got a proposal from a guy nor she went for any dating. So it was new to her when Vivesh proposed her that evening. That's why she was dumbstruck and silent for five minutes when Vivesh asked for a date.

Tara's mind brooded over the first proposal from Vivesh. She thought how come that guy can come and all of a sudden ask a girl for a date. She wondered how he had got that much guts to ask her out pretty directly. She got petrified if he would stalk her. His superlative courage made her think that he would force her to love him. She got furious and her face reddened due to the rage on him. Out of fury, she got agitated and closed her diary.

Tara opened her Digital signal processing book and traversed through the linear systems chapter. She usually never gets distracted during her study routine. But today unusually she couldn't concentrate even a nanosecond. Something disturbed her mind. She got perplexed. She felt uncanny emotions. She felt panic, ferocious yet some weird rush of adrenaline urged within her. She began to ease out her breath and gave a huge sigh.

Tara closed her book and opened her diary back. she didn't really have the intention to write his proposal in her diary and spoil the mood. But her hormones forced her to write. She stopped the pen only after writing every single detail about that evening. She described Vivesh without knowing anything about him. She not even knew his name. Her diary was adorned by the following lines

"This amazing evening, I met a witty and quirky guy. He saw me from the corner of his eyes sitting inside a bus. All of a sudden he got down from the stationary bus and ran towards me. He followed me. He came and stood near me. My heart started to race and beat fast. He was very handsome. He wore a blue formal shirt and a black straight cut pant. His hair was black and neatly combed. His eyes were brown and it had a spark which would attract any girl. His brown eyes were fully immersed in me and it had a delight as though his eyes saw some chocolate fudge. His nose was sharp and his lips were pink. He had fair skin tone. He was tall and athletic. He had a divine and pure smile. He seemed so unique and sweet to me. He uttered those strange yet beautiful words "I love you and Can you come for a date with me". I rejected his offer saying that I don't believe in love at first sight and asked him not to disturb me. Why did he spit out his heart so directly? He could have first made an attempt to talk to me and say about him instead. I liked to talk to him something and wish I would have had an intro but he screwed it."

She poured out her heart in her diary and reread it twice. Her mind yelled at her for thinking about him and scribbling crazy things in her diary. She tried to preach her heart that it's drugged and corrupted. But her heart didn't cooperate with her. Her mind was clear but her heart was the culprit. There arose a war between her mind and heart. One moment she hated him totally and another moment she had a blushing smile on her face. Her mind was passive to him but her heart was active thinking about him. She was abruptly puzzled. With all these crises buried within her, Tara was in a quandary.
