Tara was to be discharged in the evening. Tara's parents, Sarah and Glory had visited her that afternoon. Tara insisted not to take Glory with them. So Glory stayed back.

In the evening Vivesh went to collect her reports and completed discharge procedures. Glory was helping her mom to get ready. Once they packed up, Vivesh entered the room. Then they left the hospital and went home. Vivesh still didn't inform anyone about her condition including Tara.

"You take some rest dear. I'll take a bath and prepare dinner for us."

"No vivu. I'll refresh and prepare dinner for us. You take rest."

"You can just go and relax first. Don't do any work. I'm not requesting you, its an order. Hear what I say", Vivesh strictly ordered her.

He placed the reports on his office desk and went for a bath.

Tara peeped into his office desk. She was curious to see the reports. She asked him the reports to take a glance but he didn't allow her and just distracted her. She got suspicious about her health. So now slowly he pulled the report from his desk without making any noise and went to their room to read it.

She read the report and understood what's happening. She saw the lines written under treatment

"Chemotherapy and radiation therapy to be continued and dosage to be increased since the patient's condition is getting worse."

Those words sent chills to her. Already her body has lost its capacity to bear the pain now again the torture of treatment is going to start. She thought death isn't fearful but going through the process to die is the worst.

Vivesh took a bath and prepared Tara's favorite tomato basil spaghetti and meatballs.

"Tara, Glory come for dinner. See what's special for tonight"

"Yummy! Meatballs and spaghetti! Mom's favorite and mine too. Superb dad. You're awesome."

"Ok ok, dear. Where's your mom?"

"She is in the restroom. She said she'll come."

Tara came to the dining table when he was about to go in and call her.

"What's special vivu?" Tara tried to conceal her sadness and fakely smiled.

Vivesh sensed something is wrong with her.

"You yourself see what's the special menu and by the way why are you looking pale?"

"Nothing Vivu, I'm just feeling tired", she cut off a further conversation about that and diverted the topic.

"Oh! Wow, spaghetti and meatballs. That's so sweet of you. Why do you have to strain much? You could have done something simple right."

"There's nothing difficult in doing it. You like it very much right. Then why we have to wait. Come, settle down. We can eat it before it gets cold."

Tara nodded and they completed their dinner. Vivesh went and put Glory to sleep in her room during her bedtime.

Tara prepared their bed to sleep. Vivesh entered their room.
Tara couldn't hold her emotions and she started to sob.

"Hey, Tara! What happened? Any problem? Are you not feeling well. Do I need to call the doctor?"

"I saw the report"

"Oh! Why did you see it? I said not to read it. But nowadays you never hear me. Now you are putting yourself into emotional breakdown along with your physical pain. See dear you are smart and brave. Don't cry and put yourself down."

"I'm not worried about my health. I'm worried about the torture in the name of treatment."

"Do you wish to come out healthy and live happily?"

"Yeah dear."

"Then we have to go for treatment dear. I can understand its painful. But I'm here with you. I'll be nearby you. I'll cuddle you. I'll keep you warm. You are a super strong person. God will be with us, dear. Soon these pains and pressures will cease. Please have faith, Tara."

Vivesh consoled Tara and cuddled her. She slept in his arms hugging him tightly.

Tara's treatment started and she went for radiation therapy on alternate days. The first week of treatment was very worst.

She got unbearable pain due to radiation therapy and chemo. She lost half of her hair slowly. She couldn't see herself in the mirror. Her beautiful appearance changed. She felt that she looked like a potato. She broke the mirror and shattered it.

Her physical pain was 65% and her emotional trauma was 35%. At the start of the second-week treatment, her emotional trauma reached a peak and entered 100%.

It was the 9th day of the treatment. She was in the radiation room and suddenly she fell unconscious in the middle of therapy. She was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit.

They try to revive her pulse and blood pressure. She responded weakly. She slowly stopped responding.

After few attempts her pulse and bp became normal.

"Tara, can you hear me? Wake up."

The doctor called her but she didn't respond.

"Tara, can you hear me?"

The doctor repeated but she didn't move a bit. She couldn't hear the doctor's voice. Her brain wasn't reacting. It lost its stimulus.

The doctor declared that she went into a coma stage after diagnosing her and informed to Vivesh.

Vivesh got very much disturbed. His confidence in recovering her dropped a bit. He went into the ICU to see her. Tara laid there in bed like a corpse.

"Tara darling. Please see me. Please talk to me. Don't do this to us. I want you to live. Not to live lifelessly. I want you to be living a lively life and not be lifeless like this."

Tara didn't respond to his words. She laid there completely frozen without a single movement in her body.
