Chapter 11 - Haunted House

It was a beautiful and colorful fall season. Halloween eve had started in the city. Glory was drawing a haunted house picture for her school Halloween project. Vivesh reached home early from his office.

Glory ran and came near to Vivesh and said,
"Daddy, Come with me."

"What are you going to show to daddy. Why are you so happy today?" Vivesh asked.

Glory showed the huge drawing sheet to him and asked happily, "This is for our school Halloween project. I drew a haunted house. How is my drawing dad?"

"So haunting dear. Papa is getting fear", Vivesh replied dramatically holding his fist tight near his chest.

"Daddy. Don't make fun. Say if it is really good or not", she ordered him.

"Very realistic. Swear to God. I'm not making fun dear. Can you go and call mom to the living room."

Glory said ok to him and kept the drawing sheet in the study table and ran inside to call Tara.

Vivesh took the drawing of the haunted house. He got fixed in the thoughts of the best Halloween day in his life.

It was a pleasant Halloween season. Halloween themes brooded and haunted in front of each and every house. Vivesh was young and energetic. He usually likes to have fun on Halloween.

Vivesh thought, "This year I don't want to stick with this boring John. Now Tara has entered into my life. I'm going to have a lot of fun with her."

He called Tara and started conversing with her

"Hello, Tara!"

"Yes Vivesh tell me"

"What plans do you have tomorrow for Halloween evening?"

"Nothing much."

"That means you are free right."

"Yes but tell me why are you asking?"

"Just we can plan an outing tomorrow. That's why I asked dear."

"But I am not going to come out with you on that day."

"Do you have any assignments or exams? Is that why you are not coming?"

"No that's not the reason. I don't want to come out on Halloween day."

"Why what's wrong in going out? Any good reason for it? Or you don't like to come out with me?"

"No Vivu. Not like that. I do fear to come out. I have fear of ghosts and haunted stuff. I can't make it. It will be so dreadful outside all around the places there will be ghosts, skeletons, and witches. Please understand."

Ha! ha! ha! Vivesh laughed out loud and said,

"What you have fear for ghosts?"Ha! ha! " Wait, wait.…I can't control my laughter. You are pretty much grown up and intelligent but you fear for just a haunted setup which is not even real. Grow up girl" mocked Vivesh.

"See you are making fun of me. I won't talk to you. I am going to hang up the call."

"No. Please wait. I won't laugh. But I wanted to spend time with you badly. I assure you that I'll take you safely from your home and drop you back. Please don't say no."

"Hmm, I'll think about it."

"No thinking and all. You are coming babe that's it. Dot"

"Ok. But not till late hours. I will come out for an hour or so only. You should be by my side and shouldn't leave me anywhere. If you are ok with my conditions I'll come?"
