Chapter 10 - First Gift

It was yet another gloomy weekend in Vivesh's life since he is literally fighting with God to give life back to Tara. In spite of his depression and misery, he sat back to write. He saw the white and red teddy sitting happily on a shelf of their entertainment center. It made him rewind his memory 10 years back from today.

It's a week after Tara's birthday Vivesh realized that he forgot to gift her in the mess created. He had bought a beautiful white and red teddy bear for her but he wasn't sure if she will like it as he felt that she doesn't like fantasies.

He thought he can use this as a chance to meet Tara and spend time with her as well as give her the gift. He got a quick plan to buy a dress for her. He doesn't know her dress size but he thought to guess and give a try.

He went to a famous lady's cloth store and bought a sky blue embroidered cotton tops and a black denim to surprise her.

Vivesh then texted Tara

Vivesh - Hey dear, I have a little surprise for you.

Tara - Oh really! Tell me what it is🤔?" Tara replied back.

Vivesh- It's a surprise, you foolish girl. You are asking me what it is. I won't say go.

Tara - Please, please tell me, sweetheart. I can't take surprises.

Vivesh- Tomorrow eve at 5 o'clock. Jackson Park. Come and find out my dear cute gf. Goodnight. Kisses.😘😘 Sleep tight darling.

Tara - ok. 🙁Goodnight dear vivu. See you tomorrow.😘😘

Next day evening Tara went to Jackson Park at 5 o'clock and vivesh was waiting there for her.

Tara asked Vivesh, "Tell me Vivu. What's the surprise?"

"Wait, don't be in hurry. I'll tell you. I'm not going to run away without saying. Patience dear", Vivesh replied.

"I can't wait Vivu. Already last night I didn't sleep properly. Today fully I was thinking about what surprise you are going to give. Don't make me keep on waiting. Please tell me, idiot", she chided beautifully.

Vivesh laughed at her and said, " It's not a big surprise. Don't expect big. It's a small surprise."

"Whatever it is please tell my head is breaking", Tara urged him.

Vivesh said, "Wait we'll go to have an evening snack in a nearby cafe and I'll tell you what it is."

Tara agreed and they both went to a cafe and ordered french fries and a cheese sandwich.

"I got gifts for your birthday but forgot to give you as we ended up in hospital", he opened up the surprise.

"So that's the surprise right!", she jumped excitedly.

" Yes, darling. That's the surprise!", Vivesh replied and took 2 gift-wrapped boxes. One was a little big box wrapped in white gift paper with red hearts in it. Another was small and rectangular box wrapped in pink gift wrapper with a cute white bow tie.

"Can I open now Vivu?", she asked excitedly.

" Sure why not. Go ahead, dear", Vivesh said happily but inside him, a tension was built because he was worried if she would like the teddy and if the dress would fit her.

She unwrapped the gift. She opened the big box first. She saw the white and red teddy. The teddy was fully white but its ears, paws, and nose were red in color. It wore a red bow tie with white dots in it. In its hand, it held a red heart in which it was written: "Falling for You".

Which girl doesn't love plush toys?

That too a cute little teddy bear.

Her eyes glowed like the stars in the sky and she said,

"This is the first time I'm getting teddy bear as a gift.No one has gifted me a teddy. Neither my parents nor my friends got a teddy for me. They all thought that since I'm studious I won't love plush dolls. But I love teddy bears".

She said and kissed him on his cheeks. Vivesh felt like he was dancing in the sky but still he had a little bit worry about the dress.

Tara then started to unwrap another box. She saw black denim and her favorite sky blue color top and got surprised and asked him,

"How do you know my favorite color is sky blue?"

"It's just a guess sweety. I don't know if it will fit you. Just go home and try it. If it's not fitting we can go to the shop and exchange it. I do have the receipt with me", he replied.

Tara nodded her head. After the excitement subsided they ate the snacks, laughed, giggled and enjoyed the evening to the fullest.

He dropped her home at night and left. She finished her dinner and went inside her room and refreshed herself. Meanwhile, Vivesh texted her

Vivesh - Did you tried the dress, Tara? Is it fitting for you or not?
Tara - No. I am going to try Vivu. Wait I'll try and tell you.
Vivesh- Take a picture and send me. I want to see how the dress looks on you.
Tara - ok vivu. I'll send.

Tara tried the blue tops and black denim. To her surprise, it was perfectly fitting for her. She wondered how he got a perfect size dress for her. She blushed thinking how accurate he was. She then sent a selfie of her standing in front of the mirror.

Vivesh got dumbstruck seeing her picture. He admired her beauty in his selection and laid in his bed happily. She cuddled her new teddy friend and slept peacefully.
