Friends

That night, someone posted another photo of Jungkook and Taehyung, but this time along with some of their other friends.

Jung Mi was confused. But then she saw someone very familiar. NO WAY! WAS HE PARK JIMIN!

Jimin is one of Jung Mi's old friend. She quickly texted Jimin, hoping he would still remember her. They decided to meet up tomorrow after school.

***Next day, after school.

Jung Mi and Jimin met each other at a café.

Jimin: It's been a while Kang Jung Mi. How are you?

Jung Mi smiled.

Jung Mi: Woah, Jimin you've grown a lot.

Jimin: I know, I've even started working out as well.
(He said grinning.)

Jung Mi: Ah right, anyways..
(She said taking out her phone to show Jimin the photo she saw yesterday.)

Jimin: How did you get this?!
(He asked surprised.)

Jung Mi: This was posted last night. Why?

Jimin sighed.

Jung Mi: I've asked Taehyung and Jungkook both, but they won't tell me what these pictures are about. They looked really close in these photos, but on the day jungkook transferred to our school, Taehyung was being so mean and odd towards him.

Jimin leaned in and whispered.

Jimin: Don't tell this to anyone. But, Taehyung and Jungkook both did used to go to the same school in Busan. They used to be best friends, so close people mistook them for brothers. Until Jungkook's father passed away. Both their fathers were the top highest companies. But then Taehyung's father took Jungkook's fathers money to build your school here in Seoul. He promised to transfer Taehyung first to the new school, and Jungkook later, so he left Jungkook back there all alone, since he had lost both his parents at that time. Which then broke their relationship quite a bit. He couldn't really do anything. He was so hurt by both Taehyung and his father, thinking, how could they just take their money like that and abandon him. It hurts me all the time when I see pictures of them together. It probably hurts them both so much more. That's why they hate seeing those pictures. Please don't bring up the past again.

Later that night Jung Mi laid down on her bed thinking about everything that Jimin told her. She didn't know what both of them were going through. Yet, she still had to guts to show Taehyung the picture and talk about it in front of them both. She hated herself for being so thoughtless.

Next day at School.

Jung Mi was walking to school, until she saw Jungkook. She ran up after him to stop him. Jungkook was startled and froze. Jung Mi grabbed his hand and took them to the roof to talk.

Jung Mi: I'm sorry.

Jungkook: Why?
(He asked confused, by the sudden apology.)

Jung Mi: For that time when you sat down to eat lunch with me, but then I walked away from you because I thought you were weird. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions to fast.

Jungkook: It's okay, I just wanted to get to know you, since you seemed lonely.

Jung Mi gave him a sad smile. Then she took out her hand from behind her back.

Jung Mi: Let's restart. I'm Kang Jung Mi. Nice to meet you.
(She said smiling, waiting for Jungkook to shake her hand back.)

Jungkook took out his hand from his pocket and shook her hand.

Jungkook: I'm Jeon Jungkook.
(He said smiling back at her.)

Jung Mi: Let's be friends. I'll be nice to you, and I expect the same from you.
(She said then giggling along with jungkook.)
