Misunderstandings

The rain had stopped as Taehyung and Jung Mi sat on a bench at a park nearby.

Taehyung: I'm sorry for what happened earlier.
(He said looking down while fidgeting his hands.)

Jung Mi: It's okay. How was it with Sohye today?

Taehyung: Something urgent came up.

Jung Mi thought he was saying it to tease her, since that's what she had said to him when she left.

Jung Mi: Stop playing around.

Taehyung: I'm not. I'm very serious.

Jung Mi looked at him.

Jung Mi: What happened?

Taehyung: My, grandma..
(Then he stopped as a tear rolled down his cheek.)

Jung Mi saw and was really worried.

Jung Mi: What happened? Is she alright?

Taehyung: She's alright.. She's in a better place now..
(He said as he started crying again.)

Jung Mi: I'm sorry.
(She said looking down, feeling bad and sorry.)
I didn't know. If I had known, I wouldn't have asked you to hangout today.
(She said looking at him.)

Then she got closer to him. She hesitated at this part. But she felt so bad and sad for him. She gave him a hug as he cried in her shoulders.

The next day at school Taehyung, nor Jungkook wasn't there. Jung Mi and sohye were sitting together in class, before class started.

Sohye: Where's Taehyung?

Jung Mi: I don't know.

Sohye: What do you mean? I saw you with him yesterday.

Jung Mi looked at her confused.

Jung Mi: I left him with you remember.

Sohye: He left me afterwards too. He said something urgent came up, so he left.

Jung Mi: Ahh.. That, I don't know if he would want me saying this.

Sohye: What? Did something happen?

Jung Mi: I'm sorry, I can't tell you. It's his personal life.

Sohye laid back on her chair.

Sohye: Then how come you know if it's his personal life?

Irene overheard their conversation. She stood up and walked back towards them.

Irene: Why are you so nosy?
(She said to Sohye.)

Taken aback, Sohye laughed.

Sohye: Do you know what happened to Taehyung, since you guys are sooo close.
(She said exaggerating.)

Irene: Whether I know or not, is none of your business to worry about.
(She said leaving the classroom.)

Sohye: Hmph, who is she to tell me all of these?
(She said annoyed.)

Jung Mi stood up and followed Irene.

Sohye: Yah, where are you going?!
(She asked surprised.)

Jung Mi tapped Irene's shoulder as she followed her. Irene turned around, shocked to see Jung Mi.

Jung Mi: Can we talk for a moment?
(She asked.)

School rooftop.

Jung Mi and Irene stood across for each other.

Jung Mi: Yesterday I met Taehyung while I was walking home. He seemed lonely as he walked in the rain. Has he not told you about what happened?

Irene: Can we not talk about it. Do you go around school telling everyone about Taehyung's personal life. What kind of friend are you?

Jung Mi: No, it's just.. Yesterday he mistook me for his grandmother.

Irene tilted her head, interested.

Jung Mi: He seemed very sad, because he cried all night. And I'm just very worried about him.

Then they both heard something drop, like a pen. Both Jung Mi and Irene turned to face the door. They could hear footsteps quickly going down the stairs. Both Jung Mi and Irene ran towards the door, but the person was gone.

They found a white pen with an initial "SE" they were both confused at what it stood for. But they weren't going to let the person go easily either.

Jungkook went over to Taehyung's house to see if he was a little better. Taehyung was still in bed, but awake. His eyes were red and puffy from all the crying, along with dark circles under his eyes.

Jungkook patted his back as he sat on the side of his bed.

Jungkook: Get up and eat some food. You're going to die as well if you don't. And then I will have to die with you. I don't want that happening.

Taehyung turned around to face Jungkook.

Taehyung: Who let you in here? So noisy.

Jungkook: At least you still have some sense in you.

Then Taehyung turned back around.

Taehyung: I'm not going to eat.

Jungkook: Have some at least.

Taehyung: I'm not hungry.
(He lied as his stomach grumbled.)

Jungkook smiled.

Jungkook: I'll leave the food here, I'm going now, bye.

Taehyung turned around to see Jungkook leave. Then he quickly sat up and grabbed the food. He shoved it into his mouth like a hungry child who hasn't eaten in years.

Seo Joon: Want to eat lunch with me?

Jung Mi was quite taken aback and flustered at the sudden question.

Taehyung was surprised and shocked. How could Jung Mi be sitting and eating with him right now instead of with them.

Taehyung stood up with his lunch tray. Jungkook quickly grabbed his wrist, confused of why he stood up, since they just sat down.

Jungkook: Where are you going?

Taehyung: To see if it's real or not.
