Surprise

Today was the day Taehyung was waiting for. He proposed to Jung Mi five months ago, and today they were going to officially be a family. Taehyung invited all his friends, family, and relatives. He got in his suit, excited to see Jung Mi.

He went to the room where Jung Mi was trying on her dress. She was standing there, looking like an angel. He got out his camera and quickly took a photo of her.

He stood out behind the door as her father came and sat down with her. They were talking and crying. To this day, Jung Mi was never able to find her mother. So Taehyung decided to give her a little surprise.

After his father left, Sohye and Irene came in and sat down besides her.

Irene: I can't believe you're actually marrying my childhood friend today.

Sohye: You're so lucky. I'm still waiting for mine.
(She said as they all started giggling.)

After they left, Jung Mi's mother walked in. Jung Mi was surprised.

Jung Mi: What are you doing here?!
(She asked shocked as her mother stood by the door.)

Jung Mi's mother: You look so beautiful.
(She said admiring her, as her eyes got watery.)

Jung Mi: I asked you, what are you doing here?!
(She said as she raised her voice and her eyes got watery as well.)

Jung Mi's mother: I came here to see you. I missed you. And I'm sorry.
(She said taking some steps towards her.)

Jung Mi: Stop. Don't come any closer.
(She said not even looking at her in the eyes.)
Just leave.
(She said coldly.)

Jung Mi's: I came all the way here, and now you're telling me to leave?
(She said heartbroken.)

Jung Mi: Leave!
(She yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks.)
Why did you have to come hrre on my wedding day? Did you want to ruin too?!

Jung Mi's mother: Why would you think that?
(She asked upset as tears came out her eyes.)
Im so happy to see you, and especially with the person you love.

Jung Mi: You don't even know what I had to go through because of you. I got bullied and hated so much, because everyone knew who you were and what you did. I felt so humiliated not to have a mom by my side when times were hard. I had to act strong and like I wasn't hurt or effected at all by all of these, and three years later you decide to come and ask me if I'm doing well?
(She said crying, as well as her mom.)

Jung Mi's mother: I'm sorry. I didn't know you were this hurt.

Jung Mi: I knew everything. Don't try to act all innocent now. You always had another guy behind fathers back. Dad was the only one who was always here for me. He never left my side like you.
(She said with hatred.)

Jung Mi's mother: Anniyo. Your misunderstanding everything.

Jung Mi: The why did you leave us?
(She asked curious her whole life.)

Jung Mi's mother: The reason why I left was not because I loved another man, it was because of the company. I hated to see your father hurt. Everyone was talking about us, especially me and how could your father ever love someone like me. I came from a very low class family. Everyone called me a gold digger, and all those names. I couldn't take it anymore, so I thought it would be better if I left, so you and your father wouldn't be hurt.

Jung Mi felt bad for jumping to conclusions again without knowing all the details.

Jung Mi: I'm sorry.
(She said looking down, feeling guilty.)

Jung Mi's mother: It's okay.
(She said walking towards her and sat down next to her as she grabbed Jung Mi's hands and put it on her lap.)
At least you're happy with Taehyung. Don't let anyone take him away from you, or tell you that you're not worth it. Because you are, and you deserve this.
(She said smiling as she wiped away Jung Mi's tears.)

Jung Mi: By the way, how did you know I was getting married today?

Jung Mi's mother grinned.

Jung Mi's mother: It was all thanks to Taehyung. If he hadn't reached out to me, I wouldn't know any of this. Make sure to stay happy with him.

Jung Mi: Thank you. And I'm sorry.
(She said hugging her mother tightly, as her mother kissed the top of her head.)

(She said shyly as her eyes were glued with Taehyung's.)
