Carter's POV:
"Hey Carter! I want you to meet Kellin." Ronnie called to me as I stepped off my bus. We had just stopped to get food and check into a hotel for the night.
"Hey. I'm Kellin." he said, waving at me. I smiled and waved back
"Carter." I said "Excuse me, but have you seen a group of girls? They look like a box of crayons?" I asked him.
"Yeah actually, they ran into the restaraunt half an hour ago." he said pointing over his shoulder with his thumb. My eyes grew the size of saucers.
"RONNIE!" I yelled, smacking him
"What?" he asked, looking ammused and easily holding my arms.
"Why would you let them go in alone?! You know how they are." I sighed. He looked scared
"Oh fuck...." he said, looking over at the restaraunt which was surprisingly not on fire yet. I sighed and ran into the place, looking left and right. Right when I thought they had left, I heard a stream of curse words, and saw Zizzy and Runt being carried out. Jacen was walking calmly beside the security guards.
"Don't come back here." the guy sighed, setting them down outside. I glared at them.
"The fuck happened?" I asked
"Nothing." Zizzy and Runt said too quickly. I looked at Jacen who sighed and said
"They threatened to beat up the hostess for seating them near a three year old who kept throwing food." she said
"Oh, that's not that ba-" I started, but Jacen stopped me.
"And then they started throwing food at the kid. And when his parents yelled at them, Zizzy threw pasta. It hit the guy in the face, and his wife went to punch her, but Runt socked her in the stomach. When security got called they tried to run. Causing the guys to have to pick them up." Jacen sighed. My jaw dropped.
"I'm gone for thirty minutes and this happens?" I said, running an angry hand threw my hair.
"Ohmigurd. On the bus. Now. Because we can't eat here we have to find somewhere else." I said
"But-" Runt started
"NOW, Veronica." I yelled. She looked scared, and so did Ziz. They walked off though.
"What's wrong? Usually you'd laugh at this." Jacen said
"We are already behind schedule, I'm on no sleep, and I was actually planning on eating for once." I said, she nodded
"What's the real reason?" she asked
"That is the reason." I lied through my teeth. I'm really upset with myself over what happened with Craig last night.
"Right.... Well I thi-" I cut her off
"I told you the truth. It's up to you to believe it or not. But don't be a bitch and call me a liar. That shit's not cool." I said bitterly. Her eyes got huge, but then she looked angry
"I don't know what the hell crawled up your ass and died, but you need to fucking fix it before you wind up with no friends, and no band." she spat at me before walking away and climbing onto our bus. My jaw dropped, I looked around to find someone, but everyone had left me. I was literally alone.
Alone.
I hadn't felt that way in a very long time. When did I became such a bitch? The old Carter wouldn't yell at Jacen. Or Ziz, or Runt. The old Carter wouldn"t have cheated on Ronnie, certainly not with Craig. And the old Carter wouldn't be sitting in the middle of some random ass parking lot, crying. I curled my legs to my chest, not caring that my dress got dirty, and not caring that people could see my butt. I didn't care. My makeup ran down my cheeks, I was a mess.
