What is depression?
What does it mean to be one of the many with the title 'Depressed'?
Maybe, insanity?
It seems to be a common side effect, yes, but it doesn't seem to describe the word.
A drowning, suffocating, trapping, loud silence, filled with restlessness? Possibly, but it doesn't seem quite right.
Empty laughter, perhaps.
A laugh that covers the pain, but holds no true joy or happiness at all.
Loneliness? No one caring? No one glancing twice in your direction, and if they do, it's only to say, "Look at the freak."
Hmmm... That's not exactly correct either.
You know what?
It's every single one of those things.
Why don't you throw in a few extra definitions too?
Go ahead, throw in the towel.
Depression?
Does it really exist?
Maybe, it's just a title that we use to show how this world has messed with our minds; how it has changed us ever so drastically from the innocent child we used to be.
Depression?
Definition: Permanent.
