If I were to die today,
Would you still say those awful things?
Would you still laugh at me
While on my death bed I lay?
Would you still spread those rumors
Without delay?
If I were to die today,
Would you take back all the things that you would say?
Would you cry just a little
Or even feel pain?
Would you ever consider that you are the soul to blame?
If I were to die today,
Would you still attempt to make me cry, even though I wouldn't be alive
Or would you hold me tightly
And hug my lifeless body
Whispering endless 'I'm sorry's?
If I were to die today,
Would you still smother me in misery?
If I were to die today,
Would you still say those awful things?
