There he stood, so beautiful and proud.

There the music played, so powerful and loud.

He walked towards her, but she hadn't heard his footsteps due to the sound.

"Do not be afraid," he smiled.

She smiled warmly in return.

"Shall we?" He smirked.

She laughed, "So we shall."

The sound made her drown, and deeper she did sink down.

She stepped and twirled, and momentarily forgot all about the world.

When she looked back up, he was no where to be found, and she had heard no sound from anywhere around.

She was alone, enveloped within her own mind.

She searched every crevice, but of every face she had stumbled upon, it was his she just could not seem to find.

So she goes back to that place every now and then: where he stood beautiful and proud, and the music did play loud.

Even though it was only a mirage of her mind, it was still the best and most breathtaking moment of her life.
