Ch.22

Messiah's POV
The next day
Thursday

I woke up to the smell of food and Janaya not in bed so I put two and two together. I got out of bed and looked in Halos room but she wasn't in there. I looked at the time on my phone and it said 12:57pm.

I went downstairs and the smell grew stronger. I was so excited to see my baby cooking in our new house. When I got to the kitchen I seen a lot of take out boxes.

"What is all this?" I ask Janaya who was sitting on the island drinking orange juice while Halo ate breakfast.

"Oh hey babe" Janaya said coming to give me a hug.

"I thought you cooked something" I said looking in the oven.

"Messiah you didn't get any pots or pans" she said opening the cabinets to show me that nothing was there.

"What did you order?" I asked looking in the container because I wasn't even hungry anymore.

"Siah!" Halo yelled even though I was right across from her.

"Yes princess!" I said yelling back at her.

"I'm going to schoolllll!" She said all excited

"You are?" I asked looking at her then at Janaya for confirmation

"Yeah she start on Monday" Janaya said smiling hard as fuck

"You not scared?" I asked Halo

"Of what?" She asked taking a bite of French toast

"You know mommy not going with you right?" I asked getting worried that Janaya was trying to set her up

"What?" Halo asked starting to look scared as she looked at Janaya

"You didn't know that baby?" Janaya asked all concern but she knew damn well if she told Halo she wasn't staying she would not want go

"I don't wanna go" Halo said looking at me as if I was about to say she didn't have to go

"You have to Halo" Janaya said rubbing her back

"Don't let them take me Siahhh" Halo said as she started putting her head down and crying being all dramatic like Janaya

I stood there in shock because I didn't know what the hell to say. Janaya stood there looking at me. I could tell she didn't know what to do.

"Say something" Janaya said still rubbing her back

"Isn't Daliah going to be there?" I asked Janaya

"She is?" Halo jumped up happy with tear stains on her face

"Yeah and you both are in the same class" Janaya said trying to comfort her. If she would've said that in the first place I'm pretty sure this wouldn't have escalated this far

"Siah can we watch a movie pleeeeaaaasssseeee?" She asked me with a big smile on her face all happy now

"Sure princess" I said picking her up taking her to my room because who could say no to that face

"COME ON MOMMY!" Halo yelled as we went up the stairs to watch the movie

Janaya's POV
2:00pm

We ended watching Boss Baby on Netflix in our bed for the third time today.

"Mommy?" Halo asked in the middle of the movie

"What baby?" I asked playing with her hair

"When is my brother going to be here?" She asked still watching the movie laying on me
