Madeline's POV
We finally stumble back to the house after a few more minutes of stargazing, where we're greeted by utter chaos.
"Where the hell have you two been?" Michael demands, flying past the doorway. "We have to leave in ten minutes!"
"What? Why?" I ask, confused, but Luke facepalms.
"Oh, man, we have the Today Show tomorrow morning, don't we?"
"What?" I turn to face him, but he's hurried into the house as well.
"Tomorrow is the album release in the US, and we're going on the Today Show in the morning," Calum explains, throwing random articles of clothing into his suitcase. I think I spot a bra. "We have to leave for New York ASAP, or else we'll miss it."
My eyes widen.
"Oh my gosh, guys, I'm so sorry to hold you up, I-"
"You still are, though!" Ashton calls from another room. "Now shut up and pack!"
"W-What?" I ask once again.
"You heard the man, pack! We aren't going to leave you here!" Michael says.
I nod, biting my lip, and hurry to my room, messily throwing all of my clothes into my suitcase. I finish in a matter of minutes, then I rush back out again.
The boys are all standing at the door, tapping their feet impatiently, and as soon as they see me, we bolt out to the van, throwing our bags in the back.
"Drive, drive!" Luke yells, and we screech off into the night.
*******
I relax as I sit down in my seat. We made it just in time, and we're on the plane now. Luke is on my left, Ashton on my right. Ash has a neck pillow and is already dozing off.
Once we're in the air, I notice Luke plugging his headphones into his seat for the television.
"Are you going to watch something?" I ask him, gesturing to the screen.
He raises his eyebrows at me, then nods. "I can't sleep on planes, I just can't. Especially now, I feel a little guilty."
"Don't. It was because of both of us. We held each other up. Don't put all the blame on yourself."
He sighs, then starts looking through the movie section.
"I think I'll watch Wolf of Wall Street. What do you think?" he says after a few minutes.
I look up at him. "Why are you asking me?"
He shrugs, then selects the movie. "Want to watch it with me?"
I hesitate. I've never seen Wolf of Wall Street, but I've heard it's good. I nod, and he hands me an earbud, which I stick in my ear, as the sound starts to flood through.
Luke's POV
The movie ends, and Madeline's head is on my shoulder as she snores lightly. I smile softly, admiring the way she looks when she's asleep.
I look around. The other boys are asleep as well. I check my watch, which I've already moved to New York time. 5am. I sigh. I'm going to be exhausted when we get there.
Just then, a voice comes over the intercom.
"The plane will be landing in New York shortly. The bathrooms will be locked, and please buckle your seat belts. There may be some slight tribulation. Thank you for riding Delta Airlines."
I gently shake Mad, waking her. "We're landing soon."
"Huh?" she says groggily, sitting up and rubbing her eyes with her fists and yawning.
