It has been 5 weeks since Karlie had shown up to work hungover and managed to mess everything up there before getting a second chance. She had held up her end of the bargain and even received employee of the month. Also, things between her and Taylor were getting serious - neither of them knew what they were to each other, so it was slightly complicated. What started off as hookups ended up with both of them always over at each others houses and telling the other about their day. The truth was they were both completely smitten with each other, but Taylor was too afraid to come out and Karlies past with Cara still haunted her.

"So, London?", Karlie questions, sitting up on her neighbours couch with said neighbour laid down with her head on Karlies lap.

"Yeah, I'm only gone for a week though", Taylor says back, knowing very well she is going to miss Karlie running her hands through he blonde locks like they were doing right now. Her plane left first thing tomorrow morning.

Karlie reached Taylor's face with her own and gave her a quick but meaningful kiss on her soft pink lips.

"I'm going to miss you, Tay".

"I'll miss you too,".

Shortly after, the singer fell asleep with Karlies fingers still running through her hair.

"Night, babe", Karlie whispers and kisses Taylor on the forehead. Her longs arms reach over and pulls the blanket from the single person chair and drapes it over Taylor's tired body.

The lawyer was anything but tired as she grabbed her wine glass in one hand and took a sip before opening a new case she'd been assigned to at work. She was meeting the client tomorrow and needs to familiarise herself with them.

Karlie must've nodded off at some point during the night because when she woke up, Taylor's head was no longer on her lap and the blanket was draped over her.

Taylor's flight left at 5 am and Karlie desperately wanted to be awake when she left.

I missed my chance to say goodbye Karlie thinks, looking over at the clock that read 6:32.

Instead of moping about how Taylor left without saying goodbye, she dragged herself off of Taylor's couch.

Karlie gathered her bearings and then took Olivia in one hand and Meredith in the other, and took them to her house - she had offered to babysit them.

Taylor had also given her a key so she could could grab what she needed for the cats. Which was useful, because as soon as Karlie got into her own house she realised she'd forgotten the cat food.

"Right guys, you've been fed, so please don't eat my shoes", Karlie says seriously to the cat.

The only person I know in the neighbourhood is gone and I've resorted to holding conversations with cats, wow.

Whilst checking all the doors were locked so the cats couldn't wander into the street, Karlie couldn't help but miss Taylor a lot, even though it hadn't even been a day. The last time she felt like this about someone, it was Cara; Karlie got the same feeling of happiness in her stomach whenever she thought about the blue-eyed woman.

Deciding she missed Taylor's voice, she hooked her phone up to the aux cable and started blasting her album "Red".

Karlie knew that Taylor wrote from experience and almost, if not everything, in these songs was a real incident that happened. The most heartbreaking to hear was "All Too Well". This stupid ass guy clearly didn't know what he had and decided to do something really hurtful to Taylor. However, when Karlie brought it up, Taylor diverted the conversation towards a different route and went off on a tangent.
